pithing needle still allows Forge-Tender to block, which is basically what he is used for anyways. You guys are right about the giantbaiting/flame javelin thing. i guess since i only cascaded it about 4 times that means never... of 6 games. maybe its just a coincidence. So that winning cascade that i did doesnt count for anything. instead lets replace it with a 6cmc card that doesnt get cascaded. you guys have to realize that most of my opponents creatures, including faeries, are either burnt or they haven had enough time to really get the creatures out. However, just because it happened on MWS doesnt mean it will happen in real life. so i think i will replace them.
since Flame Javelin isnt cascadeable, i put that in because its pretty much my only choice, plus if for some reason my hackblade becomes a 2/1 again, its at least 1 turn of 7 damage. If theres a better (multicolor) option i am open to suggestions. I tried hell's thunder but there was a couple times that it caused my hackblade to be a 2/1 instead of a 3/2, so naturally i just replaced it with another temp creature. if theres a more permanent solution please let me know. other than that they almost always get in for 4 damage, same as flame javelin just cascade able.
What do people think of birds as the one drop? Everything we have now sucks in some way, and that lets us get out a t2 ram-gang or t3 Elf.
so does llanowar elves, but elves can block and possibly kill... even better is Noble Hierarch. it has exalted, so second and third turn swings are that much better...
too mana demanding and not cascadable. good thought tho if it were mono red yeah... what do u guys think of finks? its a decent beater, no haste but it has recursion. thoughts?
thats where numbers come in handy... and i didnt even think about the aggro mirror match... hell's thunder really is good, so it will prob make its way in. lemme know what to take out, its kinda hard when ur totally convinced the deck is decent...
Hell's thunder is good, but im not taking out multi-color permanents to play it... Flame Javelin isnt cascadeable, thats why i took it out originally and if i dont have tattermunge, how am i supposed to swing for 5 on t2? its a FAST aggro deck, not a midrange... i dont wanna wait until 3rd turn to deal some damage
kk changes to be made: -4 Bogle, -4 Flame Javelin +1 Bloodbraid Elf, +3 Giantbaiting +4 Mogg fanatic. btw no mage slayer isnt slow because bloodbraid elf puts it into play for me most of the time. heres what it looks like now:
fod doesnt really fit in with the deck even if i could borrow it. its too slow. at least the bogle provides some form of evasion, which makes it a great target for colossal might, since it cant be burned away. the only way fod would be good in this deck is for late game, and if it goes that far into it ive already lost anyways.
-2 volcanic fallout +2 Mage Slayer. Volcanic Fallout kills almost everything on your board, including that essential Teeg. Incinerate should be enough spot removal for you, SB tho against tokens
Mage slayer is MUCH more beneficial for you because it allows direct damage without the worry of chump blockers.plus with incinerate being spot removal it could even provide for a doublestriking creature ;D.
Also, NAYA CHARM!!!! this card is so beast, ppl def underestimate it. EOT tap all creatures, or bring back a cliffrunner behemoth FTW!!! i HIGHLY recomend u play the charm.
