LogicX, in all honesty, I find your defense of a child rapist sickening.

This man was raping a 5 year old. That doesn't go away. Ever. I had a friend who killed herself because she was raped when she was 11. Lots of rape victims end up killing themselves because of the trauma.

Let's say, as an example, that you saw a man behind a barn who had begun stabbing your daughter. Would you stop at pulling your daughter away from the man? Would you condemn a man who ended the life of his daughter's attacker under this circumstance?

That is a much closer analogy to child rape than stealing a wallet. I understand the idea that the attacker should have faced legal justice, but this man's actions were justified legally. He accidentally killed a man who was trying to end (and likely succeeded at) ending his daughter's life.

That said, I don't agree that the man should have been tortured or flayed or any of the above. That's just as sick of a comment as your defense of this rapist ****bucket.

I seriously don't understand what happened here. His only creature was a fully leveled guul draz assassin when I play a sun titan targeting fleshbag marauder. Then this happened.

<Xi> That is not an answer. Since you are unable to answer, that means, you are too stupid to play this game. Find an easier one, sonny. Follow the rules.

How do people like this manage to play in real life? Does he have to be this huge of a dick when nothing's on the line? Also, as far as I know, I did nothing wrong.

No. It doesn't do enough for 6 mana. All the decks you mentioned have better things to do w/ 6 mana. Bant has Sovereigns or Baneslayer, Green aggro shouldn't be playing 6 drops that get more land, Valakut Ramp is still bad even with this guy(by the point you drop him and get your 2 valakuts, you've probably lost already), eldrazi ramp is also just bad. In the case with KotR, why do that at all? Why pay 6 mana when you already should already have the game won at that point. When would you be playing the titan?

What I'm saying here is that at 6 mana, this guy really doesn't affect the board in any meaningful way outside of being a 6 mana 6/6 trampler. And if that's what you're playing it for, then why not just play Rampaging Baloths? In almost every single scenario mentioned, Baloths is just better. I'd say it's probably the worst of the titans, along w/ the red one.

Here's the thing about Primeval Titan: For 6 mana, it doesn't do enough.

Once you get to 6 mana, do you really need 2 more lands if you're playing a good deck? There are honestly just better ways to ramp that don't involve spending that much mana, which leaves you with a 6 mana 6/6 trampler. All of these scenarios where you get him off on turn 3 or 4 are completely forgetting that on turn 3 or 4, 90% of good decks WILL have an answer to him or already be on their way to winning. Not to mention that if a deck can keep you from casting him until turn 5 by killing your mana dorks (i.e. RDW, Jund), then you probably just lost. Even moreso, these decks you're building almost can't win against UW control.

This card will not tip Eldrazi decks over the edge at all. Look at the Competitive forum. Of those decks, which ones do these decks have a good game against? Maybe planeswalker control? Until Shards block rotates out, and only if there's some sort huge shift in the way Magic is played, Eldrazi decks and Primeval Titan just won't do enough for standard.

So I just bought Origins about a month ago. It's absolutely amazing, but I have a huge problem with the amount of glitches in the game. There are a lot of framerate issues and many of the glitches even cause the game to freeze. Did anyone else have this problem? If so is there anything I can do?

As an aside, is there really any point to making a rogue in Origins outside of flavor? They seem to just be weaker warriors for the most part. I had mine as a Duelist/Ranger(I love summoning things) and he just seemed to get owned any time there were more than 6 enemies to fight or against absolutely any boss. I've found myself playing as Wynne more often than as the Rogue I created. By contrast, neither the warrior or the mage I created seem to have these problems.

    Quote from "Scko" »
It seems like many people here are missing the point of a superhero. Their powers don't define what makes them a hero/superhero, it's their villains. If a hero can take down a super-villain and save a bunch of people, then they are a superhero.

The whole, "A hero is measured by their villains"(or whatever other paraphrasing you want to choose). What makes them "super" is the feats that they have accomplished. (Taking down the supervillain or saving the world nine times over.)

Batman is a superhero because the Joker is a super-villain. He may not have powers, but neither does Lex Luthor.

No, the supervillain can't be what defines a superhero, because then what would define a supervillain? It can't be just based on acts alone, because worse things than any non-powered supervillain has ever done have been done in the real world. Here's one. In the X-men Universe, would you call Graydon Creed a supervillain? In the TV show, he helped create the Legacy virus. He killed countless innocent people with his Sentinels. But, he's no supervillain. In real life, would you consider a despot or a mob boss a supervillain?

Also, why mention Lex Luthor? He obviously isn't a supervillain either. Superman's powers don't by any means hinge on him stopping Lex Luthor. He'll still have those powers regardless.

The only point which actually goes any length to prove that Batman is a superhero is that he has saved the world several times, mostly while teaming up with the Justice League(or any of its members). Which is more than some heroes with powers can say.

You know, that is actually a great point. To say that the Green Lantern wasn't a superhero would be wrong by most accounts, but what makes him any different from Iron Man? They both use a weapon which gives them powers. Which brings me back to my point that these types of heroes aren't superheroes until they suit up (put on their armor, ring, bow, etc).

But on the topic of Batman, I think the analogy fails, because he doesn't have powers when he's suited up. None of his equipment really lets him do anything truly amazing. His power lies in his cunning.

There's really no point in debating this, because both sides are pretty set in their opinions, as with any debate. I just wanted to point out that while that is a good point, Crusader 8, I don't think it really applies to Batman.

Is Pikachu a superhero? No. Nor could a pikachu be one, because in the world of Pokemon, that is the norm. Besides, there really are no 'superheroes' in the world of manga. It's completely expected that you have special powers.

I don't understand why you bring up Howard the Duck. He doesn't have any super powers outside of being an anthropomorphized duck. He's just a comic book hero, same as Batman.

You know, I think we're just gonna have to agree to disagree here(even though you people are obviously wrong. j/k). There are good arguments both ways, but I just can't see a normal human being as being a true super hero. Because of his lack of powers, he does have unmatched heroism, but heroism alone, in my mind, does not a super hero make.

So, I've been talking to a lot of the people at my card shops and a lot of my friends who love comic books. Not one of them yet has considered Batman a super hero. I am being completely honest here. They all say he's a masked hero.

One of my friends who is an absolute comic book fanatic actually said it best. Batman is a comic book hero. A lot of times people use the terms comic book hero and super hero interchangeably, but they're not the same. Just because you're in a comic doesn't automatically make you a super hero. Here's a question he put to me: Do you consider any of the characters in the Watchmen who aren't named Dr. Manhattan superheroes? If you do, then you're mistaken because they call themselves masked vigilantes, but they essentially do the same thing as Batman.

On the point about Iron Man, this friend actually argued that Iron Man is simply a weapon. It can be mass produced if Tony wanted it to. Anyone who fits can get inside it. He's like a gun. A gun doesn't make a super hero.

    @Crusader 8:

Are you really comparing Batarangs and a bat suit to Iron Man's armor? Batman doesn't fly around and shoot photons when he's suited up. He's just a normal human being in a bat suit.

    @Irmis:

The difference between Superman and Batman is that Supes has actual powers. No normal person could possibly acquire those. However, with Batman, anyone could be as well trained as he is. That's when it comes down to his money. But the last time I checked, money isn't a superpower.

And about the War Machine thing. Yes, that does make Iron Man less unique. That's exactly what my point was.

Also, I never said the Joker wasn't effed up as all hell. He does some really depraved(also awesome) things. He crosses lines which no person with a conscience would. However, I don't consider him a super villain at all. He's more of a really really crazy crime boss.

Now I'm not saying Batman doesn't do some badass things. His comic is actually one of my favorites. Somehow, over the course of his existence, he's gone from vigilante to nigh unstoppable demigod. He lots of amazing things, yes, but super he ain't

No. Batman is not a superhero. A police officer with the same training and resources as him could literally do anything he could. On that note, if a regular police officer somehow took down The Joker(who isn't a supervillain) or Croc, would that make that officer a superhero? No, it wouldn't. He'd just be a hero.

And about Iron Man. Anyone could step into that armor and have the same 'powers' as Stark. Therefore, only once Stark actually puts on the armor and becomes Iron Man does he become a super hero. And the reason the comic isn't called 'Iron Armor' is because Stark was the only man with the know-how to create the suit and the courage to fight crime with it.

I don't MD thought hemorrhages because I usually want to know what I'm playing against before I bring them in. Also, the mainboard is tuned to kill as fast as possible, so hemorrhage main kinda goes against that. But I will test it out MD, because I did notice that I was always bringing it in against non-aggro decks.

So I ran this build at FNM tonight:

I came in 16th place in a field of ~50 with a record of 4-2. Both losses came to bad draws. Here are my matches and W-L records.

    Round 1: Naya Zoo 2-1
Round 2: Jund 1-2 <--Game one of this match, I mulled to 5 and didn't see a creature until turn 5.
Round 3: RWB Controllish Deck 1-2 <--Game 3 of this one, I got him down to one without drawing a single burn spell and then proceeded to draw 6 lands.
    Round 4: RG Aggro 2-0
Round 5: Jund 2-0 <--This was a typical Jund build. I completely trounced him.
    Round 6: Opponent didn't show

    Card Choices
Most of the choices in the deck are obvious so there's really no need to discuss them. So I'll talk about the less obvious ones.
Bushwacker-I think this card gets cut for two Ranger of Eos. It's underwhelming and puts a strain on the manabase.

Lack of Kazandu Blademaster-It becomes way too hard to swing double white on turn 2 in 3 colors. I tried and it makes things really shaky, especially with so many fetches. Trust me on this one, I did a lot of testing and every time I had other colors to play, BM hurt the mana a lot. So the question becomes, why run black?

Zealous Persecution-This is why I run black. It's a house in allies. Pesky Thrinax tokens in the way? Too many elves on the table? Just want to push through some extra damage? No one really expects to see this. Every time I played this, I won that game. It really is that good. However, depending on what kind of player you are or your meta, Blightning may be a better choice.

    Strengths
The deck is fast. Really fast. There are a large number of hands which lead to a turn 4 win. Also, your guys get bigger than theirs most times.

    Weaknesses
As with any ally deck, this build is vulnerable to spot removal. Zealous Persecution actually helps a lot against red based removal.

    Matchups

    Vs. Jund
This one really is a breeze. If you get a good hand, you should be dealing either 5 or 6 on turn 2. Yeah they run a lot of spot removal, but they also tend to tap out a lot, and they run several ETBT lands.
    SB
    +3 Celestial Purge
    +3 Kor Firewalker
    +2 Thought Hemorrhage
    -3 Goblin Bushwacker
    -2 Path to Exile
    -1 Lightning Bolt
    -1 Burst Lightning
    -1 Steppe Lynx

Thought Hemorrhage should name Bloodwitch, Broodmate, or Bit Blast.

    Vs Vamps
Obviously, Vampires is a bad matchup for the deck. Against Vamps, I side in Thought Hemorrhage, Terminate, and Celestial Purge and it changes from 70-30 them to 60-40 them. It's still an uphill battle, but it's not unwinnable.
    +3 Though Hemorrhage
    +3 Terminate
    +3 Celestial Purge
    -3 Bushwacker
    -4 Path to exile
    -1 Bolt
    -1 Burst Lightning
Path doesn't help here at all. You'll get rid of a guy, but they get land for their tendrils (which kills this deck flat). Thought Hemorrhage names Bloodwitch, Tendrils, Bloodwitch, or Nocturnus. Did I mention to name Bloodwitch?

    Vs. Control
If you're playing against white-based control, come out as fast as possible. You'll get them to a burnably low life total.
Against Grixis or other red-based control, try to make a few guys do a lot.
    +3 Thought Hemorrhage for both
    +3 Kor Firewalker(Grixis) or +2 Talus Paladin(white-based)
    -4 Path to Exile
    -1 Bolt
    -1 Burst
    -1 Bushwacker
Hemorrhage names Baneslayer, Cruel Ultimatum, DoJ, or whatever else.

Other aggro decks tend to be easier matchups with the exception of RDW. The lack of first strikers becomes very apparent here, but Zealous persecution kills most of their creatures. SB in Firewalker and Talus Paladin.

Let me know what improvements I can make

Edit: For some reason, card tags aren't working for me right now. I assume most of you know the cards though
