At the beginning of your end step, each player may draw a card. If a player does, creatures that player controls can’t attack you or a planeswalker you control until your next turn. If a player doesn’t, that player can’t cast spells that target you or permanents you control until your next turn.

I recently started watching Mtg Muddstah's EDH videos, and they're not half bad. They're a but rough around the edges, but the guy is willing to improve on his presentation and his meta is definitely 75%.
If you understand/want to understand Spanish, I recommend Salty Commander. One of the players is Mtg artist Victor Adame Minguez, and all of the guys are a blast.
There are also tons of good EDH games over on MtgGoldfish, even though I dislike the fact that it's an MTGO screen capture and as such you only get to see one player's hand.
Lastly, I recommend Star City Games' Commander Versus. The hosts are hilarious and the themes are very nice.
About podcasts, besides the aforementioned Command Zone and Commanderin', I also listen to Commanderbrews. Each week they build a budget deck for 50 dollars tops, and the two guys really know how to chill and have a friendly talk.

When asked for the sake of knowledge, there are no stupid questions. Smile
When you cast a spell and subsequently reveal cards from the top of your deck, you're allowed to cast only ONE spell with converted mana cost X or less, where X is the cmc of the card you cast from your hand in the first place.
If it were the other way around it'd be a very broken card and not a bulk rare Smile

  • posted a message on What are your thoughts on preemptive deck counter picking?
Since I have different playgroups, I always try to keep my decks balanced and not hating on anyone's strategy in particular. That said, if we all sit down to play, I pull out my Gahiji tokens deck and my friend pulls out his Sidisi graveyard combo deck which my deck can't interact/stop at all, I'll play the first game while focusing him ("The only way I could interact with you is by killing you"), hoping to kill him before he can combo out, but after this first match I'll pull out one of my decks that has some actual graveyard hate (Ghave/Daxos) because someone needs to keep the table's maniacs in check.

tl;dr: I'll play the first match with the deck I wanted to play, but if I see some imbalance/strategies I can't interact with, I'll use one of my decks that has answers/interactions because I like to have fun and not have a game end by turn 5.

As far as I've seen, Path of Discovery is amazing in my Ghave deck. It provides you with a steady stream of card/board advantage and its interactions with all the moving parts of Ghave is just absurd. Even a little Animation Module goes a long way with it. Also, Ghave takes full advantage of it, using the counters to create token who explore some more. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.

Thaumatic Compass is a straight upgrade over Journeyer's Kite and, as such, is an auto-include in my non-green decks. While the cost for fetching a basic might be high, it assures you land drops, stops color-screwing and in the late game, its other side's ability is very useful, often dissuading opponents from attacking you.

So far, one of the card that surprised me more is Star of Extinction, it's the best red boardwipe (well, together with Blasphemous Act, but its price is steadily rising) and provides some incidental hate against some lands (like Cabal Coffers, Alchemist's Refuge and others), which is always appreciated.

Also, Profane Procession went straight into my Daxos deck and so far it never disappointed me. It provides you with both a manasink and on-board removal, which are two things that my deck loves to have. The land side is bonkers, but of course it depends on the creatures you exiled.

This is one of the most EDH-oriented sets I've ever seen, and I, for one, couldn't be happier.
They gave us tons of goodies, and the Elder 'saurs are all good in their unique way.
Path of Discovery is a bomb that will most definitely become a staple for green creature-centric decks (it's going straight into my Ghave and Gahiji decks).
Tendershoot Dryad and Elenda are also perfect inclusions for tokens deck.
Zacama, Primal Calamity is one of the most bonkers generals I've ever seen.

At the beginning of your end step, if you control three or more creatures that share a creature type, put a +1/+1 counter on each creature you control.
Creatures you control have vigilance and haste as long as you control five or more creatures that share a creature type.
Creatures you control have double strike, lifelink and trample as long as you control seven or more creatures that share a creature type.
