Thanks for this great effort with the Average Peasant Cube. To me, it's a reference tool to work with, too.
My Maybeboard section is dedicated to my 2HG module, but I think I mention that in each post I touch that section. So I hope that didn't confused you.
I would suggest the Average Cube will be done after Ixalan, to have all the sets released this year. Probably there won't be many cubes updated, but it's useful to see what people have done with this last set.
Once again, thanks for your work.
and approximately a million clones of MatEffect's peasant list (MTGS User Mat around here).
This made me laugh xDD. Almost every day my Cube is cloned at least once.
Seems decent, but it's a strange card for Boros aggro. It's not a bad curve topper for an aggro deck, but if you are playing the aggro role, will you have creatures in your hand on turn 5 after this one attacks?
She doesn't have great stats for her costs, but a token, a +1+1 counter on another creature and an engine for some decks could make her, at least, a borderline card.
While there are several good transform creatures, I don't like the "transform only as a sorcery" clause. That kills those cards in my opinion. The blowout potential is high. You pay the cost to transform in your turn, your opponent kills the creature in response and you have lost your mana and a creature.
I'm so tired of these limitations to activate abilities or the "only once each turn"...
Maybe I'll try some of these cards, but the 2x1 against you is high.
Seems pretty good to me. The fact it is an etb effect (and not on cast) makes it a solid blink target. Has some overlap with Vohar, Vodalian Desecrator. The one toughness is a bummer since there are a lot of 1/1 fliers around.
About Halo Forager, I think is strong, even more when you may cast something from your opponent's graveyard. I suppose I would replace Vohar, Vodalian Desecrator in my Cube.
Vohar can do a better job looting in your deck, but you lose it to cast the spell. Halo Forager offers evasion, good power to close games and versatility to play from any graveyard. Any removal spell you give flashback to clear its path next turn is welcome.
. Chimney Rabble: Easier to cast then Beetleback Chief, has a higher base power/toughness, and has haste - but creates 1 less goblin. I could be wrong, but this does not seem too bad.
I'm also interested in Chimney Rabble. It would be nice to know more opinions about it.
Beetleback offers more bodies, and that’s what you want in these cards, to go wide. But the body is not exciting compared with Chimney, as it has more impact with its better stats and haste.
Overwhelming Remorse - 4B to exile a creature or Planeswalker at instant speed. Costs 1 less for each *creature* card in your yard. Reminds me of Murderous Cut. Not sure which is better though. The exile is nice, and I really like that it doesn't exile the cards from your yard like cut does. But, I expect it'll be harder to cast this for B than with Cut, and Cut works well in creature-light control decks too.
This is the same case as we have seen with Gurmag Angler and Writhing Necromass. Gurmag is able to come in faster than Necromass because you can cast it with any card in your graveyard, not only creatures thanks to delve.
General Marhault Elsdragon <- Burning-Tree Emissary - +3/+3 is a huge buff, and makes blocking pretty impossible for your opponent, outside of chumping. Stapled to a 4 mana 4/4 is just gravy. Hoping this one gives people a real reason to draft RG.
I'm also tempted to test this card, but it seems nobody is interested on it. It has some good pros, but I only see as a con your opponent may choose not to block to no pump your creatures. And even doing so I don't see why that could be bad for me if I am in a good position to attack. I want to see the card in action and then let's see, but would be interesting to see what people think about Marhault Elsdragon.
Yes, reminds to Stuffed Bear but Mimic has flash, hits harder, and acts also as a treasure token if you need it. There are good upsides here to be tested, at least.
I'm going to test Dire Mimic. I think it will be good in flash, control, and even aggro decks, as it's a 5/5 on turn 3. Nice to block and win games. And if you need the mana, it's like a one-shot Rampant Growth.
Bruenor was disappointing because his already-mediocre abilities also don't actually work with recongfigure (it doesn't cost 0 to equip).
The Bruenor's Alchemy version has been updated to adapt it to Reconfigure abilities and the stats got even better. So if you are not hesitant playing with altered cards or printing proxies, I would make an exception in this case.

This is a good one:
Rally at the Hornburg
1R Sorcery
Create 2 1/1 white Human Soldier creature tokens. Humans you control gain haste until end of turn.
She doesn't have great stats for her costs, but a token, a +1+1 counter on another creature and an engine for some decks could make her, at least, a borderline card.
I would love to have a solid combo deck in my peasant cube with both good cards. The most similar is, probably, Oketra's Monument with Kor Skyfisher or Spiteful Prankster with Thopter Squadron or even Curse of Predation with Herd Baloth. Maybe I should include Rossie in mine, I've read many times Pestermite and Deceiver Exarch are not good enough cards for the MODO Vintage Cube, but both are in just for the combo with Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker and/or Splinter Twin.
And last, Grishnákh, Brash Instigator looks cool, too. I like it.

Also, Ephemerate on it

I still have to find a slot for Inspired Tinkering.
