One minor nitpick about the grapeshot/remand/grapeshot example you gave. If you play grapeshot with a storm count of 7 and remand the original, only the 6 copies will resolve - Remand was cast after grapeshot's triggered ability went on the stack so it won't create another copy there. Remand is the 8th spell, recasting grapeshot again for storm 9 means a total of 15 damage.

Mar 12, 2008Algernone25 posted a message on To quit or not to quittrust me, I was in a very similar boat when I went to college. Just ask around, do some research on the DCI site to see if there are any shops holding FNM in the area, and ask around in the dorms if anyone plays. You're bound to find someone who plays, or if you have a car on campus you could probably drive up to the FNM and make friends there.Posted in: Psi's Blog
But yeah, buying cards puts a strain on the wallet, and in college money is tight enough as is. Try borrowing stuff if you can (fortunately, you've got a good network of friends who have a big card pool to work with.
Hopefully I'll see you at the PTQ! - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.
also, if you play RGx slivers, run 4 gemhides, fungal reaches, and a disintegrate or 2. that alone is a viable win condition.
GET ON WITH IT! 2RR
Instant
Target opponent gets a delay-of-game penalty if their turn has lasted more than 3 minutes. (if they have already been given a Delay of game penalty this game, you win the game.)
like that?
also, cont me in, I'll pm you my decklist in a few.
I'm not gonna enter since I can't find the active crit and don't wanna make a fool of myself (that happenas alot over at my home forum...)
How about a pointless thread then?
Perhaps this has been done before, and maybe it won't catch on, but Tom's comments inspired a friend to create this little game, and I'm bringing it to you!

The Infinite Answers Game
'There are no wrong threats, only wrong answers'
The rules of this game are quite simple. All you have to do is answer the card above you. E.g. I play Phyrexian Dreadnought, you then play Pacifism, the next poster then plays disenchant/bomerang/etc.
Let's see how long we can go without repeating a card (that's vintage legal). to stop things from being too hard to break, split second cards and teferi are not allowed
NOTE: you just have to respond to the previous spell, not necessarily counter it. Be creative!
and now to start, I play Momentary Blink targeting my face-down krosan cloudscraper
you play too much Magic if you convince your girlfriend to go to FNM instead of the senior prom because "it's a lot cheaper". (ditto)
also, you know you need to play MORE magic when said girlfriend does better in the tournament than you. (sad but also guilty...I dropped every match that night )
Chuck Norris {}
