You bring up some good points, though I have to say I don't much care for the little holographic authenticity stickers. Magic cards don't have nearly the rampant counter fitting like YGO cards do, despite their security sticker, I have seen dozens of fake YGO cards in the few short years I played. I have only seen 1-2 fake Magic cards, and the effort is almost only reserved for power 9.
Magic cards do sadly have that issue with QC and miscutting although it *has* gotten a LOT better since oh say, the days of ice age when 2 cards on a single card was common. I haven't seen this in years, though I have seen a few off center cards, and several packs of crimped cards, plus ink runs. I tend to like off center cards and ink run ones myself becaue they make it more unique. I like signed cards too. I know i'm weird
I'm also a fan of simplicity- "Common" "Uncomon" and "Rare" worked so well for 15 years. I'm one of those people that can't stand Mythic Rares and I hate YGO's rarity system.
Admittedly I haven't handled any cards since like, the first 6-7 sets of YGO so the quality may have gone up since then, I wouldn't know and couldn't give a 100% accurate analysis without checking out some of the newer stuff fresh.

But anyway, to each his own.
