Savor the Moment has good synergy with Wall of Roots, Magus of the Vineyard, and Dominus of Fealty. Greater Gargadon + Dominus of Fealty + Mirrorweave is also pretty solid.
The Curve is as follows
Mana | Card Amount
1 10
2 12
3 07
4 06
5 04
6 01
The deck looks like it may be pretty solid. But I want some critique. I'm not rich, so I can't spend money on 4 goyfs... But anyway. I am trying to add to this deck and take away from it to make the deck better.
An example of Synergy within the deck...
First turn, Forest, Birds of Paradise
Second turn, Island, Tap all, Savor the moment
Second turn - extended, forest, Magus of the vineyard
Say go
They put down a mana, and have 4 mana at their disposal. They play a creature for 4 mana.
The amount I have at my disposal?
Forest, Forest, Birds, Island, Magus of the Vineyard
Thats 6 mana by turn 3. Big mana boost for early game. Plus, if they have a ton of creature's in play, in response to their upkeep on their turn, I can mirrorweave a magus of the vineyard to completely screw them over. They would get overloaded with mana. Or I can mirrorweave my magus of the vineyard to get a ton of extra mana for Spitting Image. I'm not too worried about giving them mana with magus of the vineyard, aspecially if I can get out Dominus of Fealty + Greater Gargadon and start saccing their own lands.
Anyway, comments? Think it might be competetive?
Edit: Tried putting card tags in but didnt work for some reason.
So if I attack with one nontoken creature can I pay 5(W) to put 5 1/1 tokens into play attacking.
I look on gatherer and didn't see any official rulings for this.
I don't know how we can make this any clearer. You must use card tags when posting rules questions as described in the Rulings forum rules. This is the fourth time you have been infracted for this. --Binary
The deck's finisher is Dominus of Fealty + Mirrorweave combo.
The Sower of Temptation is ment for control, so is the Puca's Mischief.
Also, if you trade out something with puca's mischief, such as an exposed greater gargadon, you can return the greater gargadon back to your hand with disperse to prevent the opponent from keeping it. Dream Fracture is a cantrip in the deck ment to get rid of something that can make you lose the game. Savor the Moment is built in to hit off of the dominus of fealty, Puca's Mischief and greater gargadon combo.
The one thing im not very good at is how to disperse the cards in the deck to make a very effective deck...
I am great with land, just not with dispersing the cards themselves.
So... if I had a creature with persist and it has a -1/-1 counter on it, I give it 2 +1/+1 counters on the creature and the creature dies by a regular source, such as burn for instance, he doesnt come back?
So, I read somewhere where a -1/-1 counter negates a +1/+1 counter. Such as, if you give a +1/+1 counter on a persist creature that has a -1/-1 counter, can they use persist again? Just confirming
So far this deck works decently. Kicked the crap out of my friends kithkin deck, but I want opinions on how to make it better.
Trust me, the color issue is not a problem. If there is one thing I excell at in this game, it's making it so that I can play with ANY colors without having a single problem 90% of the time.
Pretty much the deck centers around controlling the field from creatures.
The deck falls short against non-creature decks, which is what I would probably fill a side board with in case I am facing against a counterspell deck or a deck that does not have very many creatures. The main premise of the deck is to pretty much survive the initial onslaught of creatures by weakening them with wither... then eventually taking them over with necroskitter.
These cards are early game chump blockers to deal with threats early on.
[card]
Rendclaw Trow
[/card]
This card is a good persist + wither card.
Necroskitter
Necroskitter is the bread and butter of the deck. The card is a 1/4 and black meaning that it is difficult to kill it, while it can be used as a chump blocker as well. The card also allows me to start snatching opponent's creatures when I manage to kill one. (all the ways this deck kills creatures is by -1/-1 counters)
[card]
Midnight Banshee
[/card]
Only good for the late game, this card allows me to have ultimate board control. It may kill off some of my creatures, but by the time I have this card out, I won't need those creature's any longer to start winning the game.
[card]
Manamorphose
[/card]
You would have to be stupid to not play manamorphose in a green deck. There is no drawback, and it acts as if the card isn't even in the deck effectivly making the deck a 56 card deck.... It also gives you mana of any color, just incase you are short some black mana.
[card]
Scarscale Ritual
[/card]
This card is ment to speed up a deck. Plus, if you kill off one of your little creatures that you don't need any more, you can smack the -1/-1 counter on an opposing creature. (combined with blowfly infestation)
[card]
Blowfly Infestation
[/card]
This card, in combination of wither + necroskitter is pretty disgusting. If an opponent has alot of 1 toughness creature's in play, they are all toast. (Such as rogue's, faeries, or kithkin)
[card]
Incremental Blight
[/card]
This is the creature removal of the deck. If necroskitter is out, not only does it remove creature's from the board, but you also gain control of them.
[card]
Flourishing Defenses
[/card]
Floureshing defenses is just an idea I had.. if you combine it with blowfly infestation and midnight banshee, it's impossible for the opponent to keep any creature's on the board.
I also tried to stagnate my mana, so that I could have a pretty good ratio of what to expect, so I am not stuck with nothing to play in the early game.
10 cards (1 mana each)
10 cards (2 mana each)
11 cards (3 mana each)
5 cards (5 mana each)
2 cards (6 mana each)
A friend of mine came up with the question, if the prowl cost is payed and then mirari is activated, does it take effect? My first guess is no, since it is not being PLAYED as a prowl, but as a copy, which does not trigger the effect of prowl. (The prowl in question is Notorious Throng)

I didn't watch the whole thing---I've heard plenty of the 9/11 and Federal Reserve theories to last me a while---but I did watch the first part, and I'd like to note that it is, at least in part, horribly researched, mostly in its understanding of the various pantheons. For instance, Dionysus was not born on December 25th, nor of a virgin, nor was he viewed as a Savior God. The film makers try to place every ancient god into this Christ model, and they do so by either being blatantly dishonest (as with Dionysus), or by twisting facts, like with Mithras, who they claim was born of a virgin. He was, in fact, born of a rock, which I suppose might count, but the terminology twists the thing.
If they can't even bother to get their mythology right, I don't know why one should trust the rest of the film.
Ahh, but dionysus did turn water into wine, was born from Zeus and a mortal women and died and ressurected.
Any suggestions to this deck?

How can anyone know if they don't know what the card says? Another infraction for repeatedly not using card tags. -Woap

4 Birds of Paradise
4 Mulldrifter
3 Reveillark
2 Body Double
2 Draining Whelk
2 Greater Gargadon
2 Sower of Temptation
1 Wall of roots
4 manamorphose
4 Oblivion Ring
3 Careful Consideration
3 Disperse
2 Momentary Blink
2 Ponder
1 Prismatic Omen
1 Scapeshift
7 Islands
5 Forest
4 Plains
2 Gemstone Caverns
1 Mountain
1 Yavimaya Coast
The concept is simple...
Mulldrifter - Unlimited Draw
Draining Whelk - Unlimited Counterspell
Sower of Temptation - Unlimited Creature Control
Wall of Roots - Unlimited green mana
Spells that slow the opponent?
Spells to prevent not having the correct mana
Any opinions on this deck as a first draft? It's just a few cards that I could find and throw together.
Or
Reprise - 1R; Three attacking creatures (Whenever three or more creatures attack in a single turn, you may play this card for it's Reprise cost.)
Just a simple ability I am playing around with. Not sure it's worded right, but anyway...
3 Scuzzback Scrapper
4 Birds of Paradise
3 Oona's Gatewarden
3 Juvenile Gloomwidow
4 Rendclaw Trow
4 Necroskitter
2 Midnight Banshee
4 Manamorphose
3 Scarscale Ritual
3 Blowfly Infestation
3 Incremental Blight
2 Flourishing Defenses
4 Twilight Mire
10 Swamp
8 Forest
