Our constitution encourages gerrymandering because it offers no representation for second place. You need a constitutional amendment that allows either for multimember districts or proportional representation. However, since the amendment process requires the involvement of the beneficiaries of gerrymandering...good luck with that.

abzan is in the tier 1 section of these forums and would certainly run mystic. If BBE can't come off because it goes into a Tier 1 deck then the same applies to SFM. In addition, abzan and Jund are functionally the same deck with small changes to decide between based on meta.

This is somethign I'm wondering by myself too. I mean it makes no sense that Junk (which is tier 1 deck) could and would play SFM and SFM can be as some people say unbanned while BBE shouldn't come off because it would go in Jund which is currently tier 1 just like Junk. Not to mention that SFM is on completely other level than BBE is.

Whole other level? BBE cause much more blowout it puts you too far ahead in some games. SFM seems almost fair in comparison to BBE sometimes.

BBE is countermagic proof, is always a 2 for 1 and is not nearly as fragile as SFM. This is not to say that Mystic is a dud. At worst if it resolves it always draws you a card but BBE would straight up kill any chance of a UWx control deck to be possible in Modern. It is way too efficient

You can't really compare BBE and SFM. SFM is a turn 2 play and will always give you what you want, you will always get value out of her even if SFM herself dies before she's able to put equipment on the battlefield. BBE on the other hand is more luck dependent. She can provide great value when hits what you need but can also cascades into dead card. Also turn 2 and turn 4 play are very different. You can even cheat Batterskull into play with SFM before BBE is able to hit the battlefield.

I'm not saying BBE isn't powerful card, because it definitely is but claiming that BBE is more powerful than SFM simply doesn't make much sense to me.

I don't think anyone is trying to claim that BBE is more powerful than mystic. It's not.
I would argue; however, that they are in the same camps of power level.

While Mystic is a turn 2 play that will always find you the artifact you need... it can also be interacted with, countered, etc.
Mystic is NOT always a guaranteed 2 for 1. It can be countered. Additionaly: if you fetch a battleskuill and then the mystic is killed.. you just time walked yourself.

BBE is a turn 4 play that generates a random card. Unlike Mystic; however, it can not be interacted with. Even if you counter it you still get the extra card. If you are not able to counter it but instead removal the BBE, they still get the other card. BBE in some ways is more powerful than mystic... and in other ways weaker.

Mystic is never a time walk, because even in the described scenario you still earned a tutor. Also the card spent killing the mystic makes it exactly a two-for-one.
The only time mystic is weaker is when dealing with counter magic, which is much weaker in Modern.
