    Lorwyn...Mirrodin?

    Here's why:

Scry is back so randomly? A fifth dawn mechanic?

Why are there so many artifact hating cards in timespiral? Krosan Grip, Future Sight's Quiet Disrepair(which sounds mirrodin in flavor). Are they gearing players for the new onslaught of artifacts?

Akroma's Memorial, an artifact, and powerful. Powerful artifacts come from mirrodin. And didn't equipment start in Mirrodin? Sword of the Meek?

Future Sight's Sarcomite Myr... A MYR! And a vedalken AEthermage...even though there were Vedalken in Ravnica...there weren't any Myrs.

Mishra's untimely appearance. Where the hell was he when Mirrodin came out? Packing for lorwyn? Did he remember his toothbrush?

lorwyn kind of sounds like mirrodin.

EDIT: Karn created Mirrodin, and in the TS novels he just randomly disappears...

EDIT: New card: Darksteel fortification something or other...not much to say there, it's just making the path more obvious...

It seems MTG is lulling us into a false sense of security with the slivers and the fungus and the bogardans...artifacts are stirring, and I don't know whether to be excited or scared...

Also, future sight is meant to show you what's going to happen in plain sight. The only problem is that there's so much useless stuff pointing you in the wrong direction. This is one of the directions...maybe a real possibility. Stuff like the rigger card, mention of planeswalker card types, a handful of tribal cards, a random Myr already mentioned are explained here:

"Finally, we turned to what I call the "red herrings." I felt that an important part of mixing things up and keeping players guessing was to include some ideas that we are sure we're never doing. Why include things that we have no intention of doing, and thus by doing them in this set actually do? Because I wanted to send the message that just because we are giving you a peek into the future doesn't mean we are giving away all our secrets. Plus, this was a rare opportunity to do a few of the things that I felt we don't want to do—and in a way that didn't force our hand to do more in the future. And, last but not least, it gives us some plausible deniability. Just because you see it in the timeshifted set doesn't mean it's crossed the line into mainstream Magic design." - http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=mtgcom/daily/mr275

So no matter how broad the scope of your future sight is, your guess is as good as mine. I'm placing my chips on artifacts, no one would expect it...except me of course...
