Zionite: Are you really ok with voting me now because of my claim?

I feel better about it but I’m not okay with it. And a lot of that has to do with, again, my personal experience as bus driver.

So wait, isn’t this kinda like the time you were going after Tom for the daychat thing? This is similar in that you’re more willing to do this kind of research instead of more objective tells. I get where Tom’s coming from but still reluctant to see it as auto scumpoints independent of his meta arguments.

Right. Well, the way sloth explained it, we are literally terrible players if we don’t vote each other right now so...here I am. I could just ignore him but then I’d be disregarding not just one but two of my strongest town reads. And I know I’m gonna be wrong sometimes or tunneling so I gotta be mindful of that.

Yeah I really enjoyed running that game. Still think about it a lot. But I don’t have to explain how a docBlocker is different from a pure RB. Doc is a pretty common town role.

How uncommon IS Town RB? From off the top of my head I’ve hosted a game with one and played in at least one other with it

I know I haven’t been around awhile, but generally speaking having a Town Roleblocker is considered a troll move by the designer/host to throw off metagaming (ex: all RBs are scum). If the host plans on doing this, it would be expected to give some sort of cryptic warning that reveals this much (ex: “roles are truely randomized” “don’t expect to break the setup” “this is a bastardmod game”).

Also when IRC chat mafia was big, town RB would only be in the custom or special setups, never a normal. Fun fact: I used to use the IRC mafia bot to generate game skeletons then build off of them. Pretty balanced setups generated on command.

Seeing as it could go either way, I’d encourage you to not let it influence your vote too much. But I’m so used to the above I cannot help but think about my Bus Driver game.

@KJ: just vote me dude, there isn’t time for anything else. I’ll make sure no one tries to paint that vote as scummy but you’re on your own for the rest of it.

    Does RB stop night kills?

I wouldn’t be sure without reading it, but typically yes. It would block an NK, vig shot (sometimes still consuming the vig power if limited), or a doc, tracker, etc pretty much everything can be blocked except another RB. RBing an RB doesn’t do anything iirc.

    Why do you ask?

So this will probably change once I get a confirmation on KJ and start looking for connections. For now I’m going off of the strong relationships to KJ (like those with a weak excuse not to jump on this) or slots I wouldn’t mind a lynch on (some for legitimate reasons). Also take my reads with a grain of salt, I’m rustier than I thought, getting pocketed by a likely scumKJ. Or going for the double bamboozle if he’s actually a town RB.

Yeah still not really impressed, main tilting part for me is how he is acting like a god scum hunter who can guide us to victory that style bothers me. Also saying not wanting to commit to either wagon is such a way to dodge responablity. I also sort of disagree with his view that KJ has created content rather then attacked his attackers, because apart from the read list not much else I can think of. It just seems like such a textbook defense. His view on Zion is pretty damn hedgey as well and I still hate how he calls him a LHF. View on Flarg I disagree with as well because he has not done scumhunting in a while.

I understand ZDS is not fully caught up but dropping these takes without full knowledge and having no scum reads, but saying everyone is wrong just bothers the hell out of me, maybe this is a personality thing though on my part.

Hmm, I guess that’s fair. If you want to claim to be the shepherd, you gotta back it up with some solid reads. I can agree with that.

@Jack: additionally, what do you think about what Sloth said about me needing to vote KJ?

@ZDS: can you point me to what you mean about the KCC comment shield when you get a chance?

How dismissive Flarge and Zion are who were hard defending KJ bothers me. I mean he could still be a scum RB but my first response to someone claiming if I townread them is not they are lying lynch them, With no thought time. I'm scum reading KJ and his claim makes me see him as more town even if just a tiny bit.

Now need to fully read ZDS post and see if it changes my view on him at all

    That’ll be a quick read.

How common are town RBs where you’ve played?

I remember a game where I claimed town bus driver. No one really bought it then either. I was actually bus driver, but not town. Maybe it’s the sort of game setup that will trick you, but I highly doubt it as a normal.

I’m sleep deprived this morning, trying to correct with coffee. Stuck on mobile. Should I attempt a T/S list on mobile?

That’s not much better. Null and not making up your mind are pretty much the same thing. IGMEOY.

I’m glad you brought that up again because now I’m way more suspicious of you listing KJ as null.
