Recently they single handedly won a game by preventing a v clique from swinging for lethal. Otherwise they're good chumps and even attacking threats that can be recurred after milling them to an orb. I used to run 4 but settled on 2
Visions of beyond in our deck is already ancestral recall it's absolutely busted. On turn three I recently drew 9 cards for 3 mana and they conceded on the spot. Zero reason to run visions jamming it in the deck hoping to get value off of foretold is a no go
Wall stalls out 8whack, burn, g/b/x, bogles, elves, can be a life saver giving you the time you need to survive and finish milling them out, it's a damn good cantrip for the deck.
Lingering souls drops between 2 and 4 flying blockers which does the same thing, gives you time but can also be an alternate win con (i've won many games off of spirit beats alone). It's also a card to flashback when milled by your own orb.
I agree, scribe is bad and Jace's phantasm is meh, I actually ran it during the GPT but found it useless in almost every matchup (just removed them entirely from the 75). It actually killed a Karn for me once though which was amusing haha.
As long as you're leaving in damnations I don't think running one yahenni out of the sideboard would be bad at all, it's honestly a meta call.
Cheers
Jesters isn't modern playable in my opinion. Mesmeric orb in the 3 drop slot is astronomically better.
Ashiok can be solid sideboard tech, im not personally a fan though.
Dimir charm as a one of isn't bad either
Rox, I highly recommend keeping damnations, they shore up horrible matchups. Whereas yahenni's expertise only makes favorable matchup evens easier. I would cut snaps entirely, snapping sorceries feels awful and you run 8 removal spells already. I playtested them thoroughly and almost never found them useful. I would move bridge to the side. I personally don't like the card and only find it useful against eldrazi, but I can't argue the fact that it's powerful. But it's not a good mainboard card.
Just my 2 cents from the well known mill player everyone hates at my shop (:
