Unfortunately, because Koth of the Hammer's ability does not actually make a token, it just changes one of your lands into an elemental creature, Wizards did not print a token.
You could also just play Rancor on the wall before playing Essence Harvest, pump 18 life, play Harvest, and then win. Without even needing Miming Slime, haha.
Or anything post-Ravnica, for that matter. Color pie violations abound.
I still want to hear an official answer for Diregraf Captain.
Because the card is black and because everything it does fit within black's color pie, it's hard to call Diregraf Captain - or any of the lords of the cycle, a "violation" of the color pie, because it's not really giving colors something they don't have. In the case of Diregraf Captain I believe Wizards is tacking on the extra color to make it harder to cast and therefore more powerful for less mana. This happens ALL the time. Especially with three color cards. Rare is the three-colored card that fits into all three of it's colors, and sometimes it happens with two colors. It's just costed like that so it can cost less mana. And that's okay.
So yeah, I think this card can be useful. Saying it's some bad 6-mana enchantment is a goldy-locks argument because cards like this aren't meant for standard.
There are no angels
There are no legendary characters except Anowon. There is a kraken, but he was mentioned as Brinelin, the Moon Kraken and not Wrexial.
The book ends with the eldrazi titans being released by Nissa's fault
There were no noteable deaths. But the ending leaves much to be desired. It's as if the Eldrazi can be reccuring villians?
So, to get this straight, the only characters that are featured that are at least semi-famous are Nissa, Sorin, and Anowon? No other planeswalkers? Are any other names dropped at all?
Bogardan Hellkite is my favorite even if Serra Avenger is obviously gonna win this one. Honorary mention Sengir Nosferatu, I love Scott M. Fischer and his awesome abstract and colorful backgrounds.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but does that mean that substance is merely a fancy way of stating that a specified end of turn effect triggers at the end at the turn in which it's played, and not the next?
I would still like a response
Well, use the mirage fetches if you have Ravnica dual lands or original duals. Use the panoramas if you are playing a three color allied color deck, and use terramorphic expanse if you don't.
While we can each come to the conclusion that there has to be bad cards, it's still not something that should be embraced - no one likes bad cards and I like it even less when they are spoiled. Does that mean people don't ***** too much? No, there are some legitimately good cards that people complain too much about. But you can't and shouldn't expect people to react kindly to the cards that are spoiled that are just plain bad, they can be no fun and frustrating, even if they are a necessary evil.

J/K! Constricting Tendrils
Another good one is Dark Confidant's "Greatness, at any cost."
