For those of you that love Eidolon of Blossoms, here is another list!!
I love a lot of what he's doing here. He cements a TON of what we've been discussing recently. A few important points from the article:
1. "...All the threats generate card advantage, so it's really hard to keep up with if you're playing answers..."
2. "...It's basically just mana and card draw, and outside of that the only high-impact cards to hit with Genesis Hydra are Craterhoof Behemoth and Hornet Queen..."
3. "...the deck goes big enough that you can find one of them pretty quickly. Genesis Hydra for one to put a revealed one=mana card on top of your library onto the battlefield and build devotion is a common play..."
The whole "card draw" thing is the mantra I annoy everyone with every page, and the Hydra for 1 off the top (revealed via Courser) is almost word for word what Travisauras just said
It makes me feel VERY confident in my recent move to 4x Genesis Hydra and a Craterhoof Behemoth. And as we've been discussing (and as I detail in my tapped out description and even on the Primer, you really want card to either (a) ramp , (b) draw cards/create card advantage, or (c) be game enders...anything else is outside of our game plan.
I'm excited to see someone with the stature of Sam Black taking a look at Green Devotion seriously (the article is literally about what he was thinking of bringing TO THE PRO TOUR!!).
We will definitely have to try out his build. It has a lot of the best stuff we do in our brews and gets rid of some of the worst...and if he's found a way to get Eidolon to work than he may have truly broken it...
