I've never strayed far from the original build of this deck. This is the 75 that took me to my first Game Day championship. The only real change in the MB is the addition of Rhonas. Sticking a Rhonas and Bristling Hydra on turns 3 and 4 made the win feel inevitable. Every creature is a threat.
I didn't get to try the cat-snake against control or Radiant Flames against zombies. Tears of Valikut did its job against Avacyn. Skysoverign was always welcome against planeswalkers. I didn't board in the Uncaged Fury or Fling, but they never felt necessary. Most often for games 2 & 3, I shuffled a few sideboard cards into the deck, then pulled the same ones out. I never felt outmatched.
Why Radiant Flames over Plummet? Seems like with more green than red, you would want the green spell and it destroys any flier?
My build is similar, but I haven't added Rhonas in, but that looks fun. Has Manglehorn worked good for you?
There might be a few reprints of Legacy staples banned in Modern like Jitte. I'm guessing most will be commons/uncommons that get reprinted all the time like Giant Growth, Negate, or any number of burn spells.
Why on earth would they print either Giant Growth or Negate in EMA? I can see a lightning bolt reprint, but those other two cards are magnitudes lower on both power level, importance, and desirability.
While I think there are better versions than those (Invigorate or Copunter-spell) that would be better to print. Since it is intended as a draft format and, assuming there will be powerful spells, they will also need different types of counter-spells. Look at Modern Masters, not every card was highly played modern staples.
I really hope there is no Emrakul on Innistrad. I'm all for Nahiri trying to pull the Eldrazi to Innistrad but bringing something else instead. Maybe Pherexia (next block has been rumored to have poison) or pulling in some other horror. I will be severely disappointed if they do Eldrazi in back-to-back blocks. Innistrad needs horrors, not to become the new Zendikar.
Been testing a similar Ally build on MTGO, but running Stormrider Rig instead of Bonesaw. A little more expensive, but you can drop it and when you attack with Captains Claws, you can attach it for free to the 1/1 ally token that comes in. This happens for free and at instant speed. If you have Stone Haven Outfitter out, this boosts it immediately to a 3/3. Definitely not Tier 1, but has been fun.
I've also found Relic Seeker to be pretty good, but Open the Armory might be better, but having a 3/3 on the board early has been huge as well. I also run Munda, Ambush Leader as once I have some equipment out, I usually want threats.
Utter end is probably better than Oblivion Dtrike, granted it will be rotating out. Check out Anguished Unmaking in the new spoilers for Shadows over Innistrad. Declaration in Stone is possibly better than Swift Reckoning (has a potential big downside). Of course this would be after rotation, but you don't have any KTK or FRF cards in your decklist.
Note that since you have no basics, all your battle lands enter tapped. This means you only have 9 colored mana sources that enter untapped (not counting Holdout Settlement or Unknown Shores because they can't cast any of your creatures on their own.
If you are running 5 colors (which I wouldn't recommend without fetches) you could run Bring to Light. Allows you to find the answer you need.
I've been running a UW Prowess deck that I'm modifying to include Jeskai Ascendancy, Slip Through Space and Expedite. What about adding Defiant Strike as another cantrip? I've found it great in my build. With Ascendancy, it adds +2/+1 and draws a card.
