I have played for a while with a single Ashiok, and most games where it came up it took the game on it's own with the protection of a Bridge. He works very nicely with the other pieces of the deck, as it's a planeswalker form of top deck manipulation first and it can nuke hands and graveyards to make our soft lock into a very hard one.

So, if I have say, Myr Battlesphere and Mechanized Production I win the next turn?

It has to be the Myr token as the target and also Panharmonicon has to Ben on the field when it enters/clone it.

It doesn't look for copies of the enchanted artifact, just 8 copies of any artifact with the same name. Dropping a Battlesphere gives you 4 tokens, the enchantment cloning Battlesphere gives you four more.

But the new Battlesphere will only create these tokens AFTER the win condition trigger event has passed, because the ETB trigger will only be put on the stack after the whole effect finishes resolving. You'll still have 9 untapped Myrs to use with your orginal battlesphere for quite a bit of damage, though.

So now it will be technically possible albeit mind-bogglingly unlikely to pull off the Grindstone/Painter Servant combo in sealed deck and drafts?

Actually, if you play Hub, and they destroy it in response of the energy trigger, you keep the energy to use later, while with Ice Bridge the charge is just gone. Destroying the source of a trigger does not stop it from going to the stack and resolving. Hub isn't always better, but usually it is an upgrade from Ice Bridge.

Something like "Tap all lands target opponent controls, they don't untap on his next untap step" could be fun.

I did say after you already have a heartless out, you are paying one Black mana and getting three out... Not saying it is nearly as good on T1 or T2, but ritual becomes pretty much useless as after a (too short) while, since the tempo you gain on a developed board won't make up for the loss of card advantage you incur, and Heartless nets you the same tempo advantage for every creature you play afterward. You can also easily have 1 or 2 and tutor for it with Runes or Entomb, use it to combo off and reanimate what you wish.

You can have more of a toolbox build with this deck, you can add Sidisi as another recurring tutor, and keep in mind that anything with generic mana on its cost gets much much faster. I played it on standard using Wurmcoil Engines and pairing the Lich with Grand Architect for extra oomph.

I am surprised no one mentioned Priest of Gix, it combos for infinite B and with Heartless out, even without the Lich it does a good impression of Dark Ritual

Fiend Hunter, differently from his newer, fixed cousins, has two abilities, one which exiles, another one that brings what he exiled back. One of the ways of exploring it is removing him from the battlefield with the exiling trigger on stack. It exiles one target permanently, and if you are blinking him, you get to exile something else when he comes back. This happens because the exile trigger has no IF or while clauses, and the game stops following Fiend Hunter as an entity once he changes zones. The exiling still happens, but the return trigger on top resolves while there's nothing removed yet to bring back.
