Land
~ comes into play tapped t: Add 1 to you mana pool.
t: Exile ~, then return it to play under its owner's control.
or 2: Exile ~, then return it to play under its owner's control. Play this ability any time you could play a sorcery.
I think removing the repeatability of the flicker ability would limit its effect.
I hate to be that guy, but This drives me off the edge. I can't play competitive standard anymore.
Between this, Baneslayer and the MPR being a frickin Lightning bolt, I can only take so much from wizards before I get fed up. This card is far too simple and not innovative enough to be mythic. Just broken enough to be expensive. Fun format or not, I will not shell out my money to a game that starts disrespecting it's followers.
The lackey version at 1/1 sounds like the most likely option, but i'm hoping for:
RR
Doublestrike
Landfall-Whenever a land enters the battlefield under an opponent's control, put a 1/1 red goblin token onto the battlefield under that player's control.
2/2
I've been messing around with clarion ultimatum lately, and I think landfall could make it good. For example, let's say you only have the baloth out and a lot of land (which the deck naturally has). You search for a second baloth and 4 lands and get 8 4/4's? Yes please. And this is assuming that you don't have other good landfall permanents in play. I'm personally hoping that they make some good landfall enchantments.
If we get "Landfall-Whenever a land enters the battlefield under your control, draw a card." I will play the deck no question. Really need a draw mechanic after mulldrifter leaves.
That's the idea of the lich lord. They provide more life, but you lose if you lose it.
And I agree completely on the children of zen. Being a planewalker should provide benefits and not always equality. and WW seems too undercosted for the triggered effect now that I think about it.
And that's the point of the third's ability. The second ability is really a positive ability that really shines in multiplayer. I think it might be difficult to kill if you're playing white weenie or some kind of green rush, but most decks should be able to get past it considering that they get 1/1's as well.
I like the card and art is amazing like always from Kev Walker. So, I'm going to take a guess that this may be the next MPR Foil Textless Promo that we might recieve.
I never thought about that, but that seems like a decent idea. I was thinking maelstrom pulse, but this would certainly make me change my mind about this matter.
Well, over some time now i've been working on how to open design space for planeswalkers. Here's what i've come up with so far:
Azh, Lich Lord BBB
Planeswalker-Azh
Whenever ~ leaves play, if it wasn't sacrificed, your life total becomes ~'s loyalty.
+X> You lose X life.
-X> You gain X life.
20
Children of Zen WW
Planeswalker-Zen
Whenever a creature attacks, put a loyalty counter on ~.
-2> ~ deals 2 damage to each creature that attacked or blocked this turn.
-X> Put X 1/1 white soldier tokens onto the battlefield.
2
Eri, Nature's Call 1GG
Planeswalker-Eri
Whenever a creature enters the battlefield, put a loyalty counter on ~.
-1> Each player puts a 1/1 green saproling creature token onto the battlefield.
-X> Creatures you control become X/X until end of turn.

It always bugged me that a card never unflipped. something like:
Arbitrary Name 1WR
Creature-Berserker 3/1
Haste
At end of turn, flip ~.
---------------------
Another Name
Creature-Wall 1/4
Defender
At end of turn, flip ~.
just one idea, but it seems like a lot of design space left unused to me.
Also, making both sides playable, kinda like a split creature but that may be pushing it.
I know i'll be shot down by critics, but i've been messing around with architects of will and soul manipulation. It gives you an early game target and gains you advantage. And it's really not a bad card, and a respectable mannequin target if nothing else is available. Has anyone else had a chance to try this?
arcbound ravager
disciple of the vault
artifact lands
after a year and many failed attempts to print the "affinity killer."
You don't end up with a white mana this way.
that sounds like a lot of fun! Now this is a Mythic.
Maybe the drawback of giving your opponent a baneslayer angel token :\
