Thran Forge is pretty bomb, you can give your General hexproof in response to anything for 2 mana. Otherwise yah mana rocks are definitely your friend, you've got the right idea. Liquimetal Coating is another one to consider, even though it's not repeatable. OH and Silverskin Armor. Any more I think of I'll post. Any idea on the general for this? Just curious, I love the idea. Ive got Azami built myself, but more colors should add more fun lol. Looking through Gatherer, I'm thinking that Livh Lord of Unx and Stonybrook Schoolmaster would make decent token engines for stuff like Voidmge Prodigy and Patron Wizard (Patron gets bonus points for giving you a way to tap the schoolmaster too :D). I dont know if Merfolk subtheme would be possible, but Summon the School is another one for making wizard tokens. Going with Ertai, the Corrupted as your general would give you something to do with all the tokens, though he might draw a little hate same with Zur and Sen triplets though (just looking at Wizard generals), so you may just have to roll with the punches or make sure whoever youre playing with knows that its not some mainstream goodstuff control deck lol.
The new Corpse Augur would work nicely with some sac outlets, black actually has a lot of cool Wizards now that I look at it, Lim-Dul, Endrek Sahr, a good few things. You obviously woulndt have to go the token route, that was just a first impression from looking at gatherer :P. Magus of the Mirror is fun too lol, especially if you flash it in with something like Teferi (whos also Wizard hmmmm). Sky Weaver and Stormscape Master are cool Esper options too.
Harsh Mercy would be amazing depending how many tribal decks you usually play against. White also gets you Shared Triumph and Mirror Entity, and Aphetto Dredging and Cover of Darkness are alright Black options. Patriarch's Bidding could also be awesome depending on the match, White and Black arent big on tribal enablers but there are a few. And at least you get all the removal and recursion options those two colors have.

No, you're still only allowed to play the lands any time you normally could. You can't normally play a land until your first main phase, and that fact holds true even with the new guy on the field.

People need to learn to interact a little more. If no one had any response on turn 6 to any of those permanents, too bad I guess. Did you play it all in one turn, or did they have ample opportunity to respond? I know you don't always have the answer, but if nobody at the whole table does, oh well, luck wasn't on their side I guess.
I'm not one for the quick win to be honest, but I also hate to see people whining. If packs are on the line, someone's probably gonna try their best to win them. Play what you find fun.
Why would you need to trigger EtB multiple times in a turn if the tokens are exiled every time he leaves?
Unless you mean the EtB triggers on other cards...
The tokens only appear on the next upkeep AFTER he's cast, and that trigger stays on the stack regardless of whether or not Hazezon is even on the field at the beginning of your next upkeep. So if you get him to come into play multiple times in one turn, that many delayed triggers will go on the stack and wait there. Just sacrifice him to something (High Market, Scorched Rusalka, anything) before those triggers resolve on your next upkeep, and you'll have yourself a darn nice horde, safe from that pesky exile trigger
Could you clone a green guy then search up your copy of that guy when the clone dies? If you play against a lot of similar decks it could be okay I guess...but meh. And that whole interaction is limited to U/G/x decks I believe. So yeah, meh.
So you couldn't deal with an enchantment or a bunch of 2/2s? That's just too bad. Sure you don't always have the removal, but come on.
In this situation it seems like you would have lost to Boris Devilboon.
Slightly more on-topic, I don't personally mind political cards, I don't play many myself, but I trust my playgroup to pack the Howling Mines and such I know I could run them too, but if they're gonna do it for me...Still not sure if this thread is meant for in-depth discussion or just an excuse to complain.
All my snakes got pumped and I drew like 6 cards due to my opponent's low number of blockers. Ended up being an ok play I suppose, but I don't think I've ever seen someone T&N for such not-bomb cards haha, I guess I'm just that anti-tryhard
9 lands in play with Riku. I have 3 cards in hand and one is a land. Basically I have absolutely nothing to do...except create a hilarious, albeit insanely fragile boardstate.

So the next player can't resist Detention Sphereing my whole force I was SOL in that game anyway, I wasn't drawing crap. I did finally get my stuff back when another player took pity and seal of Cleansinged my Day of the Dragons.
I had been drawing nothing but land and a Wonder though, so I still didn't really do anything the rest of the game. But I got to make a sweet play at least, and Riku has a large Snake subtheme, so it's not the most competitive haha. But it does run Fire Snake, so it's worth it

The game's been going on for a while, it's probably turn 15-20 at this point. My field has nothing relevant on it besides a Fervor. I've got a couple dinky creatures, but that's it. So I'm thinking/hoping the Jace's Mindseeker in my hand can get me something, So I cast the Mindseeker and decide to target the Korlash player. So he starts flipping cards.
Land, land, some creature, land, Rise from the Dark Realms...excellent. I got about 15 creatures off it, including my own Lord of the Void, a Wurmcoil Engine, and various other fatties/cool stuff. And it's all got haste because of that Fervor. But then the Teysa player looks at me, smirks, and points at the Seal of Cleansing that's been sitting on his field, ready to blow up my haste outlet, which presumably will let him cast some wrath effect from hand next turn and, you know, not let me kill everyone (I had enough damage to take everyone out, life totals weren't very high at that point, everyone was at 15ish).
So I'm all sad now thinking my game-ending attack won't go through, until I look at my hand again...I calmly declare that I'm going into combat, and as expected the Seal goes after Fervor. Boom, Boros Charm :D. I cannot get enough of the Charm in response to wraths and whatnot, and obviously it pulled it's weight in that situation too.

I clicked Galspanic's link, and when I went to that page, there's a link titled "View your "About Me" as seen by everyone else" which is weird. Before you click the link everything has N/A in the field. After clicking it I go to my normal screen with the correct post count and other info, but that step in between seems kinda pointless.
I just didn't know if the techs or whoever could see that link, or if it was just me since it's my account or whatever. And I felt bad adding a useless post before Thanks!

I thoroughly enjoy Jace's Mindseeker as well, not as abuseable as stuff like Chancellor of the Spires or wide-reaching as Diluvian Primordial, but when it doesn't just hit a ramp spell, it's usually always cool.
