With the story piece revealed just recently, we found out more details about Vraska's presence on the plane, namely confirmation that Bolas sent her to get the Immortal Sun and she is supposed to contact an "associate" once the artifact is secured.
What i think is this suggests Tezzeret (but not necessairly him) opening the Planar Bridge to Ixalan and the characters leaving the plane through that, instead of lifting the Binding, if that is possible at all.
