I see Phenax, God of Deception as more of an alternative victory than just merely build a mill deck around me. Once he hits the battle field, you get access to milling. If the opponent is preventing one strategy, you can change up to milling.
From a casual play, the Green Gods have the benefit of the creature tutor aspect of Green and some of the ways to short cut them on to the battlefield.
Glimpse the Sun God seems like it will be good. Don't forget the Shining Finger chant or some random MTG official rule like tapped creatures can't block.
Black with Green or White won't care much for her Devotion part. They can just dump and revive her. Have a Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth around to turn those Plain or Forest to Swamp.
I think it could happen with Green getting a devotion version of Green Sun's Zenith.
