So I was watching Saffron's UW Belcher video, and I says to myself: "Self, belcher would go pretty good into the RW Prison deck you already have".
I put this together, and took ito to 3-1 at FNM
Overall, I really like it and aim to refine it further. I never really felt that any matchup I played was unwinnable, and it was very fun to play. I beat Abzan Melira/Anafenza-Finks-Viscera Seer Company, 8-Rack and a jank UW Affinity/Combo deck. 8-Rack wasn't even close thanks to Chalice on 1 and Endless Horizons. Titan Breach beat me, but I lost game 1 to a play error and game 3 to topdecking errors. Despite the prison elements my opponents said they actually enjoyed it as well, kept them on their toes the entire time.
Going forward, the Prophetic Prisms could easily be cut or replaced with Chromatic Sphere. I only ever needed a single red, and the ability to drop it and cantrip for effectively a single cmc would have been welcome. I'm not sure if the loss of the ramp of the signets in subsequent turns would be worth the extra card by replacing them with Chromatic Stars, but I'd entertain the idea.
The prison suite could definitely be tailored to a meta. Suppression Field, although interacting unfavorably with Belcher, was actually great in my games. I never found myself sorry to pay 5 for a Belcher activation.
I'm guessing it's weak to Wear // Tear or Slaughter Games-type effects. I've been thinking about adding green for Ancient Stirrings to get the combo out faster against those perceived weaknesses, but I doubt that's worth it. I think I'd rather rely on the prison.
i'm surprised no one talked aboutGlorious end before. Sometimes i would only need 1 more turn to kill my opponent and i was thinking about running it as a 2-of in the board
And then we can PIF and cast it again before our end step for another turn
I just traded off a bunch of Tron stuff and Eldrazi to a friend (I'm going to get that Ugin back one day...) for a bunch of Jeskai Delver and Control stuff. I've been testing it lately and it seems really strong whether you play draw-go style or more aggressive with Delver and friends. It can stomp Elves/ CoCo decks with Verdict, can ward off Burn using Timely Reinforcements/ Revelation, and can end the game in style with any number of decent planeswalkers.
Also, there was a UW list that Cheon/ Sperling have been running successfully using Condemn (mostly against Eldrazi). What do you guys think of the card in general for a Control list as PoE 5-8? It seems like it could be on par with Path but goes for like $0.25. Grindy Control lists don't need to worry about the opponent gaining life, especially when it buys that much tempo, but the Delver lists should probably avoid it since you run the risk of dragging the game out too long (Vapor Snag is probably better for Delver).
The problem with Condemn isn't the opponent's lifegain, it's that it can't target a creature that's not attacking. Otherwise, exile is relevant but I'd rather give my opponent life than a land.
Spending $1,000 in one month or spending $100 a month for ten months equals the same amount of money.
Pick a deck that looks interesting and you think you'll play, and buy that. Why buy all the lands if you don't own other cards that you can make a deck with?
Also, unless you're doing serious research and buying reserve-listed cards, magic is NEVER an investment. You should ask which cards you should buy first, not invest in.

I'm relatively new to burn, but I'm 5/5 for burn mirrors where I get that out on turn 2. I'll mull down to 5 to try to get it. It still rocks hard.
Not as good as reunion with ascension, but better versus counterspells. I hadn't thought of it with tutelage, but I'm going to!

I can't wait to test this out! Seems like it will replace Mystical Teachings/Peer through Depths, at least.
