Curves right into courser of kruphix, tireless tracker, or wayward swordtooth.

I think something else that is pretty gross is that this can shred through a mana base off one Tec edge, ghost quarter, or field of ruin late game. If you can stabilize until t3-4 then this can start seriously screwing with a mana base.

Me: *casually swings in with a pair of adorned pouncers*
Opp: *tanks for a min* "no blocks...you're dead on crack back you know..."
    Me: *begins tapping 4 mana*
Opp: *sweats profusely, nervously eyeing up the door to escape*
    [long dramatic pause]
    Me: "cast collected company?"
Opp: *despair sets in, walls begin to close around them, air becomes thick and heavy* "resolves" *tries to muster a fake sense of confidence, fiddled with meaningless open mana, flicks remaining cards in hands and shuffles the useless cards in hand through sweaty palms*
Me: "neat, twenty you. Gg?" *extend hand in clear display of poor sportsmanship after severe luck sacking*

Red has been getting a lot of incremental damage increases over the last couple of years (pyromancer's gauntlet, the flame of keld, and jaya, venerated firemage). This could eventually end up quite the beating if they let shields down long enough and you can pump the elementals. They have trample AND haste - which is important because you can EoT deal with whatever they can't get through (a tap effect, bounce effect, or burn it off the board) uptap and get in for 6 or more if you can pump these.

I like it and for burn it lets you pitch two some higher CMC stuff if you're getting mana screwed. Being able to refuel for something to pitch to this off the new canopy lands is also just straight gravy.

Worse case scenario, burn can still go t1 guide, t2 do a thing or two, t3 this hard casted. That's 3 lands and 3-4 cards from hand leaving them up 2 cards after getting in for 12+ (the + being whatever t2 was and whatever is left in your hand). That's still a super fast start that a lot of decks are going to have issues with with only t1 and t2 mana.

Burn can also pitch 2 of these and a couple of cards and get you into top deck range on like t2 off t1 guide swing for 2, t2 pitch 2 cards and play two of these to swing in with guide for 14 putting you at 4 before you've added any fetch/shock damage. that's 1 goblin guide, 2 of these, 2 red spells and 1 land out of an opening 7 (leaving them 2 draws to get more gas). Just a single fetch puts them in top deck range.

    It's good imo.

3 mana teferi is good against control, but he's weak to a ton of other decks...anything with more than 1-2 dudes turning sideways will chew through him.

Karn is fine. If you're losing to 4 drop + 6 drop your deck isn't competing very well against almost every other T1-2 deck that can also close out a game by t4-5.

Bear queen works really well with goreclaw too. Goreclaw can get huge off bear mom and even if you're not tapping into the cost reduction for goreclaw you're still throwing around stupid amounts of power and damage all over the place.

Way to crap on metallic mimic's parade unicorn. Friggen jerk...

Serious though, gross :[ that's going to get out of hand quick.

Especially if I, I dunno, vial in a phantasmal image and then hard cast a renegade rallier getting back pretty much anything. Value train CHOOCHOOOOOOOOO!!!

I mean this lets you sneak Saheeli Combo out of nowhere doesn't it?

Also makes it uncounterable if they let the ability resolve. That's something that could be worth while?

Sneaking in any of the new WAR walkers with statues could be kinda neat (like the wanderer).

Oh wow, sexy rathi slivers, nice!
But how many pentacolor slivers legend do we need?

I think it's good design for their tribe leaders to be 5 colors. The whole gimmick is that they grant each other whatever inherent abilities/characteristics they have - so a hive leader, progenitor, first born, whatever would have gained abilities over time from all of the other adaptations.

It works here, unlike something like that warrior from battlebond.

So WW in modern seems medium, but maybe tokens could use this.

T1 do a thing, t2 drop 2 tokens, t3 lingering souls eot opp turn flash this in and you are representing 8 damage over 4 bodies with 4 more power and toughness in the yard.

That's shortening your clock by a lot. If your T1 was discard you can clear out whatever they need to stop you or win (make them spend turns 1-3 digging for an out) while you clock them.

It's not FoN but I don't think it's trash. This is way better than dictate of Heliod because it can come down early to shorten a clock or you can sandbag it and develop your board and then hardcast it. Options are always better.

I love him, but I don't think it's powerful enough for modern? Hope I'm wrong but he just lines up very poorly with a lot of the bigger creatures like hollow one etc. it's not like you can buff him easily.

T1 hardened scales, t2 metallic mimic on mongoose, t3 drop the 'goose. One way ticket to magical Cheistmasland.

Seriously though, bet this is going to be obnoxious in draft.

These are amazing and I seriously think 1-2 will show up in a huge number of decks.

Also glad I didn't shell out for canopies as these will work just fine...just fine.

My wallet is crying out in anguish, haunted by the pain to come. Frown

FoD does seem really good. Again, it's a great card for fae as is FoN. It gives the deck a ton play because your opponent and spit out several creatures like elves and you can just clean house while leaving your side of the board uncontested. The deck runs plenty of cards that you don't mind pitching to it (redundant copies of lotv).

If we get an on tribe 1 drop that is decent in fairies I can maybe see it clawing its way back to t2. I'm hopeful, because they can leverage these spells pretty well.

    Edit*
    Card absolutely craps on coco/cascade

This is pretty gross. Lots of value off a bloodbraid elf potentially. Not many decks have that kind of hand size by t4 but you're going to hit juicy targets if they do.

There are a number of ways to get this out t2, which is also kinda scary.

Phoenix can gut shot it, so it seems not a home run against them event though this stomps over an inflipped thing and eats precious cards at the same time.

This is on damage too, not just combat damage, so maybe there is something else you can do with it that's more combo-ey.

I think rick is just missing some sticky CA engines. Green gives you stuff like tireless tracker and black gives you bob, but they are pretty easy to answer. None of the playable GB walkers, enchantments, etc give CA. Lili is card parity if she sticks around and you hope to out top deck your opponent. I don't know what they could print outside of something like library like already mentioned that wouldn't feel out of place or cause a bunch of splash damage in the format.

Not sure what the answer is, but blue is getting a metric ton of toys lately I agree.
