Downpour has been amazing! Combined with early frost it's almost a guarantee to get there. Fizzling is another story.
Kami is what I switch for TitI after SB usually.
I've kept the mana cost low so I can play multiple spells per turn and to be able to use snapcaster frequently. It's more interaction but it takes longer to win either through snapcaster beats or Jace mill. Makes fizzling easier to deal with though since usually my hand is full of disruption.
Ive been brewing a taking turns deck that uses underworld dreams as its win con. It's still rough but it's coming together.
Here's where I'm currently at.
I haven't tried kami yet, or master of the feast, feast I'm really interested in, I'll try it.
Skullcage is an option but I liked unraveler better since it can swing.
Been quite awhile since I've been on here.I've currently been brewing a UB version using underworld dreams and fate unraveler as the wincon. I figure if I'm going to keep the opponent drawing cards then I might as well punish them for it. Dark deal and ancestral vision work very well with dreams and unraveler.
It's an odd deck to pilot, I'd like to smooth it out a bit. I'll post it soon, ive got a few slots I haven't found a home for anything, sideboard is ok but could use some fresh ideas. Mana base is atrocious. Lol
Edit: pulled the deck out. Here's the list.
I think brutality should be mainboard, I don't know what to cut though.
I was looking at master of the feast or laboratory maniac as options too.
Sideboard is a cards to try board mainly. Leylines are really good, how to fit them MB idk, same for relic.
The discard I'm not really feeling fits here. To many times I wished it was something else when I had it.
What do you think? Any suggestions? Particularly early interactions.
Edit: days didn't work, had to use dark deal instead.
The spyglass artifact from the new set could be good. 2 mana, provides information which is useful when you want to go off and it stops a lot. Idk, I think it's worth a bit of testing anyways.
DennisD90, it was a tron list as I said previously.
Karn doesn't ultimate with season, ugin does.
Hangarback and ballista are much stronger with season. Both can deal with pesky flyers. Hangarback needs to be beast within-ed or something though.
Nyxthos isn't bad. Better with finks and witness MB.
It was pretty good for a quick throw together, I'll tinker with it a bit more. Like I said previously, I liked how similar Curd Bros deck was to my tron brew which also uses walkers but with the addition of season.
So this was the the first draft. Won all the games I played, the only tier deck though was boros burn which I beat 2-0. I like it. I'll work on it a bit more,
I was thinking duskwatch recruiter might be good.
After getting hit by goblin guide so much I'm also considering courser of kruphix for the free lands. Extraplanar lens and the snow lands is another way to ramp in case the mana dorks get picked off.
Sideboard is mainly spare cards to try. I think ooze should be considered too.
Any thoughts?
Hey I can log in again!lol.(forgot password) So... Doubling Season, 3 is better than four(imo), I've been siding out one usually g2-3 on top of that. This is what I found in a homebrew of mine, Curd Bros, you and I were both on solitaire mode on mtgo the other day when I was doing some goldfishing before playing a few games with it.
I call it Tron Season, doubling season, hangarback, ballista, wurmcoil engine, thragtusk and ugin. Ultimating Ugin the turn it comes out is in most cases a scoop. I use tron lands and BoP as well as the usual maps and sylvan scrying. It's done very well.
I like where your going with yours, I'm going to try swapping the maps and sylvans for dorks and drop some shrines in to replace the tron lands. I'll add in garruk and nissa to start. Have you tried hangarback? It's very good with season as well as ballista of course. I think your dork/devotion idea might work better for me than the tron lands and doesn't limit me to colorless so much.
I'd post my list but it's not devotion or pact or T&N. I will write one up shortly after I make a few (devotion) changes, cant play any games with it till kids are in bed though.
This is a brew I've been working on to try and have some early plays and can still function under heavy land destruction.
I feel it needs more card draw, I don't think more harmonize is better than chromatic star, I might have to squeeze some in, the color fix isn't really an issue but more consistent could be nice.
MB relic is also nice though.
Horizon canopy is great for draw, especially with crucible of worlds.
The main wincon is ballista, both it and hangarback are good mana sinks too.
I like primeval titan and ulamog but they get sided out regularly for bridges or revivals.
Anyways, deck is fun, provides early interaction and meant for the midgame, fairly resistant to hand disruption(draw) and spot removal(limited targets).
I think howling mines are better if running a full playset of gigadrowse. It can be tapped down so the opponent can't draw cards. Dictate is better if not using gigadrowse imo. I run a 4/2 split of mines to dictate when I run gigadrowse and vice versa without them.
Purk, I like that you run 11 warps, I use 2 PtW and one walk the aeons and found that it helps when faced with extraction on time warp. I've never had a problem getting PtW(for the win) when I go off well before I deck out with a few mines in play.
Leylines should be 4 or 0. If it's not in your opener it's to late because your already going to get your hand ripped apart from turn one on, if you mull down to get it your usually left with a bad hand that's slow to get going. Really it could be 2 more cryptics which in an unknown meta would be more useful than the leylines.
I agree with adding another RiP, for a chalice maybe..?Idk.
I think you need to keep explosives or have ratchet bomb to deal with weenies, in most cases it will buy you the time you need to go off or clear the way for a PtW beatdown.
I think timely and explosives kinda solves the same problem so timely? should be something else, maybe spreading seas in case of bloodmoon and as an offensive.
I'd also remove a Prarie stream for a plains because of moon which shuts down your paths and half your SB.
I really like narset transcendent if your splashing white, its first ability always finds a card that isn't a land so it's a one sided mine effect and, it's second ability pretty much insures you won't fizzle when you go off.
I'd pull a mine since it's a mine itself.
It also helps flip thing.
I don't think you need the path in your SB if your happy with the three in your main. Frees up a slot anyways.
Hope it helps and goodluck, hope you go all the way!
Pack rat is a great creature in the deck because after so many discard spells your opponent has nothing left in hand so copying rats for dead discard cards is very efficient. necrogen mists some people like as a replacement for lily, I prefer the rat myself.
Our early game sucks against aggro, this might be enough to buy us time is what I was thinking for mone U.
It replaces itself too and remand against aggro decks is usless really.
I'm going to give it a whirl anyways.

2 Ceremonious rejection or 2 hurkyl's recall for affinity?
I'm using the leylines so should I use 2 relic of progenitus as well?
Should I have more spot removal with 2 go for the throat or add 2 extirpate?
Mass removal with ratchet bomb maybe? A friend has engineered explosives I could possibly trade for.
Any thoughts you have on MB would be great too.

For 5 mana it can grab courser, witness and magus of the moon. With the mana we can generate we can play all three the same turn they are tutored.
I'm try a few games with it on mtgo later.
It replaces itself too and remand against aggro decks is usless really.
