This sounds like it can't be a feasible business plan at all...
Anyway, this topic definitely belongs in baseless speculation (also the title is quite clickbaity)
I’m confused by lots of the complaints. It has been clearly listed through all of the spoilers this week that each pack only has one of its special land and I’m pretty sure the news has been out even longer. That isn’t news at this point.
It might not be the latest news, but that doesn't invalidate the complaint. The themed basics are among the most notable features of this set (of course not for everyone, but overall they are a selling point) and they are making them a lot rarer than one would expect (without explicitly looking up the numbers) for no real reason.
It would even improve the feeling of the decks when opened and played as intended to have all fitting lands instead of a single one that you might even draw once in a while...
If they really wanted to create chaseable basics, using 7 regular themed lands plus one foil/full art per booster (as suggested above) would have been a far better option for everyone imo.
I like this kind of lighthearted, slightly silly flavor, as long as it's not overdone.
Not a fan of armored house dogs wearing capes, but this is nice. It's on the same level as Affectionate Indrik and I'm completely fine with that.
Are you sure that is a showcase card? I believe it is a borderless card. Correct me if Im wrong.
Correct, the showcase cards are the planeswalkers and for each of them one rare, uncommon, common and basic land with the planeswalker's special border (at least for the five monocolor walkers, I guess Ugin stands alone). Chandra's frame for example is the one that's also used for her spellbook cards.
Depends of what you might want to get rid of, but yeah this is probably better as surprise blocker than straight removal.
But having both options sure doesn't hurt.
At least we will always have Eye of the Storm to at least abuse this with since it lets us cast the copy.
A slightly more practical option and also in standard right now would be God-Eternal Kefnet.
Speaking of Standard, Mission Briefing works too.
So, plenty of ways to get some use out of this across formats.
The "you" probably is the qualifier already.
Other variants would be "target player/opponent mills X".
I mean, I'm pretty stoned, but I don't see a "you" or "your" in the Grub's milling ability which is why I'm assuming the default for mill is your own library.
I got to admit, I didn't actually reread the card... still, it's an implied "[you] mill four cards", so I stand by my initial guess for the targeted wording.
In German, the card is translated to Mühlstein. The building where the grain is ground, the mill, is indeed "die Mühle." However, the grinding itself, the millng, is not "das Mühlen" but instead "das Mahlen" (in contrast to "das Malen", which is the drawing/painting of pictures), so i expect "mahlen" to be the German expression.
Not really arguing here, but I'd expect them to translate mill to "zermahlen". That prefix indicates wear/destruction and captures the flavor idea of milling your library away a bit better imho.
Then again, WotC are not quite the gold standard for localization

Looking at this and Sharknado, Wotc is sure stepping up the memes lately
