There is a little context as to how Karn went back in time, He was designed to be a Time Traveler Originally (hence why he is made of Silver, it is apparently immune to the damage from time travel) and he has traveled back through time before, so he has experience with it so going through a "Time Rift" to a specific spot in time isn't a huge leap for him to do.
Doesn't make much sense still though, but..well Time magic in MTG is strange anyways. *looks at Sarkhan*
If I remember right we don't know exactly where the original dragon engines came from (they were in the first sphere when Yawgmoth first got there) and we do see them in game.
Dragon Engine
Minus a couple of decades of art design changes Ramos is not that far off.
Urza didn't really build Ramos though, he re purposed one of Mishra's Dragon Engines that he copied off the Original one he got from Phyrexia.
That would be a great argument if they didn't dump dragons on us.
Mind you I love dragons and my favorite EDH deck is my Scion Legendary Dragon deck...but even for me it was fairly low on the list of tribes that really needed love.
and that doesn't make it any less wasted potential, especially since we got ourselves a Token Producing Jund Dragon already.
It is almost as if Wasitora should have been Naya instead of Jund.
There is something about the amount of Personal Offense he took at the mending that amuses me. His "We were gods once." speech drips with pure salt.
A few cards for Ninja? Ninjas got 2 cards since Kamigawa and neither of them are really "Support." They -will- Establish a "long awaited tribe" and do nothing with them because they have before. Under Supporting Tribes is something they have done since the dawn of the game. Snakes, Ninjas, Samurai, Naga, Jackal, Spirits. If they make Dinosaurs an official tribe instead of putting them under beast something just as bad as "Just stuff Dinosaurs into already made beast decks." Will happen. You will just stuff the Dinosaurs into a deck with a random general..and lode it out with other good stuff. At least if they are beasts they will fit into A tribe.
and in 3 years we can all lament how "dinosaurs." are an unplayable tribe because it got 2 support cards, a bunch of meh creatures and nothing else ever again.
Just like every other Tribe that shows up in one block and vanishes for years, You are cheering your tribe getting completely kneecapped by having a creature type that is far too specific and thus missing out on a ton of support. It happens EVERY time they introduce a new tribe, Your Dinosaurs would be mechanically served by just having the beast type. I would advocate for Beast Dinosaur as a typing but just having them be Dinosaur is going to make them unplayable like Samurai are right now.
They should have the Type "Zombie Mummy." that maintains the flavor of what they are specifically while keeping it viable within a tribe, but Zombie is far preferable because it means that it fits into an existing tribe.
Or maybe you Type them as beasts. So you know..they can fit into beast tribal.
Yeah cause it is so great when they make a new tribe for a specific blocks flavor..and then that tribe dies horribly because of lack of support, those are great times.
"I hear voices in my head,
They council me
They understand
They talk to me"
Well finding new ways to make the UI slow and horrible is innovative.
I played City of Heroes from Alpha to the final server shut down..I know how it all went down. One of the main things I am worried about with this game is that Crypic has something of a bad history making "action RPG MMOS" with a bunch of goofy junk like Trying to block attacks, and tapping a button to break CC. Champions has lots of problems with the base design trying to make a more "actiony" game that just makes for lots of bad gameplay.
