I managed to find a copy of the high-res one on TheManaSource Twitter page.
I'll leave the image as an attachment in case anyone wants to see this artifact beauty in detail Kekeke

EDIT: I know that the attached image is not the best, but you can find the 1500x1060 version on Twitter.
Huh? Neat. Its got a Lotus symbol that starts from its rib cage and ascends up the neck.
Only thing i find strange of that art are the bird-wing decorations on the chest and on the horns. They are too much egyptian looking for a dragon built by Urza before his spark ignited.

Urza didn't really build Ramos though, he re purposed one of Mishra's Dragon Engines that he copied off the Original one he got from Phyrexia.
Yet the point that it looks a bit too egyptian still stands (especially since Ramos is "made in Phyrexia" or at least "from Phyrexian design", thanks for that, I actually missed it).
EDIT: do you think Ramos has a "made in Phyrexia" stamp? If so, where? XD
Knowing phyrexians it probably is inside his mouth.

If I remember right we don't know exactly where the original dragon engines came from (they were in the first sphere when Yawgmoth first got there) and we do see them in game.

    Dragon Engine

Minus a couple of decades of art design changes Ramos is not that far off.

As much as I would love slivers, I don't think they need an EDH preconstructed deck.
    - They already have (arguably) the most powerful and synergistic commanders Sliver Queen, Sliver Legion, Sliver Hivelord and THE BEST possible commander for their tribe Sliver Overlord.
    - They had 5 print runs already (Rathi slivers, Legions slivers, Time spiral slivers and 2 runs of Shandalari slivers) that encompass pretty much all the spectrum of useful abilities AND offer redundancy, not only in the sme color, but also off-color redundancy.
    - They had 1 all-foil deck reprinting some of the most sought-after rathi slivers.
I mean, there is no need to add even more love to a tribe that pretty much has everything already while other tribes are struggling with the little they have.

That would be a great argument if they didn't dump dragons on us.

Mind you I love dragons and my favorite EDH deck is my Scion Legendary Dragon deck...but even for me it was fairly low on the list of tribes that really needed love.

funny that it's unplayable in Wasitora...
It is almost as if Wasitora should have been Naya instead of Jund.
Or, it is almost as if Wasitora wasn't created to be the go-to cat commander, and was only given the cat creature type for flavor reasons.

and that doesn't make it any less wasted potential, especially since we got ourselves a Token Producing Jund Dragon already.

Sometimes people enjoy a one-dimensional villain simply because he's an ancient dragon. I for one, enjoy seeing Bolas calling the Gatewatch a bunch of scrubs while not seeing the allure of Yawgmoth (or Phyrexia for that matter) despite how "deep" he is even after reading all the material involved.

People like what they like and hate what they hate.

There is something about the amount of Personal Offense he took at the mending that amuses me. His "We were gods once." speech drips with pure salt.

YES!!! I can use the older ones if they make the right stuff for a dinosaur tribal in ixalan.

and in 3 years we can all lament how "dinosaurs." are an unplayable tribe because it got 2 support cards, a bunch of meh creatures and nothing else ever again.

Just like every other Tribe that shows up in one block and vanishes for years, You are cheering your tribe getting completely kneecapped by having a creature type that is far too specific and thus missing out on a ton of support. It happens EVERY time they introduce a new tribe, Your Dinosaurs would be mechanically served by just having the beast type. I would advocate for Beast Dinosaur as a typing but just having them be Dinosaur is going to make them unplayable like Samurai are right now.

No, I believe that Dinosaur as a type will be much more similar to Ninja (a beloved but also very small tribe which got a few new cards down the line) than it will be to Samurai or Naga (both of which don't have good support casts, aren't very interesting mechanically and, in the case of Naga, are reducing an actually supported, but already small tribe, namely snakes). If you give Dinosaurs "Beast" as a secondary type you will have the situation that there will be a few beast decks with maybe the strongest Dinosaur/Beast lord in it, but the rest will be the already established Beast lords and support cards. "Dinosaur" would be nothing more than flavor text. And of course you are seriously underestimating the coolness factor of Dinosaurs as a tribe. They won't establish such a long awaited tribe and then do nothing with them.

A few cards for Ninja? Ninjas got 2 cards since Kamigawa and neither of them are really "Support." They -will- Establish a "long awaited tribe" and do nothing with them because they have before. Under Supporting Tribes is something they have done since the dawn of the game. Snakes, Ninjas, Samurai, Naga, Jackal, Spirits. If they make Dinosaurs an official tribe instead of putting them under beast something just as bad as "Just stuff Dinosaurs into already made beast decks." Will happen. You will just stuff the Dinosaurs into a deck with a random general..and lode it out with other good stuff. At least if they are beasts they will fit into A tribe.

Dinosaur better be its own creature type. No more of this lizard/beast BS. Grin

Yeah cause it is so great when they make a new tribe for a specific blocks flavor..and then that tribe dies horribly because of lack of support, those are great times.

So it's better that they don't exist at all? Hey, I wish we got more ninjas, but I'm glad they at least exist.

Or maybe you Type them as beasts. So you know..they can fit into beast tribal.

Ah okay I get ya. Although I gotta admit, I'm one of those who wish mummies were their own thing haha.

They should have the Type "Zombie Mummy." that maintains the flavor of what they are specifically while keeping it viable within a tribe, but Zombie is far preferable because it means that it fits into an existing tribe.

  • posted a message on New Magic MMORPG by Cryptic
Thing is, when Cryptic went their own way from NCSoft (their publisher for City of Heroes), quite a lot of the dev team, particularly those who actually did the detailed design and implementation on the game, stayed with the latter (under the banner of Paragon Studios IIRC) to run CoH - and they probably did a better job than under Cryptic. Those that stayed with Cryptic for Champions and their subsequent games seemed to mainly be the people with big ideas and little understanding of what actually makes a good game....

As such, I'm rather cautious about a new MMO from Cryptic despite my adoration of CoH.

I played City of Heroes from Alpha to the final server shut down..I know how it all went down. One of the main things I am worried about with this game is that Crypic has something of a bad history making "action RPG MMOS" with a bunch of goofy junk like Trying to block attacks, and tapping a button to break CC. Champions has lots of problems with the base design trying to make a more "actiony" game that just makes for lots of bad gameplay.
