Indeed the median price for intro pack version in the US still shows a value of 8.96. The prerelease and foil pack versions are still around $4, but keep in mind Parents aren't seeing any standard play yet. Its Modern and EDH giving foils that price.

I know this thread hasn't been relied to in over a month but I'd like to point out that Parents are seeing play in a few decks now, especially Grixis. Alex Bianchi used a one-of in SB in his winning Jeskai twin deck, and as a result the price spiked on tcgplayer, especially the intro pack variant. At the time of the last post, it was valued at around $4.00, spiked for 3 days up to $18, and it's now at $10.

It seems that having 3 bodies, two with evasion, really is worth the price, especially in the affinity matchup. That's not even counting the ability to ping. I think it's safe to say that for now, it's probably worth owning a copy if you play any deck using red mana.

Interesting but 2R is a bit expensive. To compare with Siege-gang commander it was 1R.

Actually no, Siege Gang Commander is (3)(R)(R). So they both have double red in their casting cost.

I don't think anyone should underestimate this card, it has lots of good synergies as many have pointed out. And yes, Lotus Cobra makes this awesome.

Play a fetchland, trigger Lotus Cobra, fetch up a forest, trigger Lotus Cobra, tap the forest, activate Mina and Cenn, Wildborn, trigger Lotus Cobra for the 3rd time... You can generate 5 mana using one land, spending 2 to activate the ability nets you a +3 mana, not counting any other synergies.

In standard this is very good friends with Grove Rumbler. Or Retreat to Valakut. Both enable you to give something +4/+4 and trample in one turn. This with Undergrowth Champion and Omnath, Locus of Rage seems like a good start to a standard landfall/elemental deck.

There's no question in my mind that people with try to brew this into a meta-changing standard deck, and I think it might even make a splash in Modern.
