I see these as definitely being Sorceries, because at instant they are too much better than existing card draw. Even at Sorcery, they will both see play.
And there is one group really, really hoping they are Sorcery. The old U/R Magnivore players...
Very believable cards, and I look forward to playing with them at the end of the month.
(Offtopic) Rodrigo Y Gabriela do a classical/Mexican Guitar version of Metallica's Orion, and oh man, is it sweet. (Sorry, but I just bought the CD today...)
Suspend X and "Remove this from the game for X turns" are NOT functionally the same, because if the card is suspended, then you have to _play_ it again, and it can be countered, it adds to storm count, it can't come in under Teferi or Meddling Mage, etc.
Go Homarids! Bring back Deep Spawn in X or Future Sight!
Ah, I fondly remember the Fallen Empires days when I played a deck full of Homarids and Tidal Influence.
The need to recalculate the P/T of every creature on my side of the board every upkeep never got old for me. Somehow, my opponents never liked it as much as I did...
@Mirari: How do I join the Homarid Fanclub? If I do, will you change your tagline?
I think some of these will be carried over into Future Sight, using whatever Future Sight's "Timeshift" is.
Original Timeshifts were old cards reprinted from the past using old frames, but updated to match current Oracle text. Essentially just reprints.
Planar Chaos Timeshifts were color-shifted cards with exact same mana cost in a new color, and the exact same text (Calciderm aside).
Future Sight Timeshifts could either be backwards of Timespiral's (i.e. cards from the future pre-printed in the present), in which case it seems a bit less likely that the double-shifts will turn into triple-shifts, or FS Timeshifts could be something different. They could be Type-shifted (Creature->Enchantment or Creature->Sorcery, for example), they could be "evolved", especially as Flip cards. Many things have been speculated.
Time will tell.
I suspect that the semi-shifts (Avoid Fate -> Rebuff the Wicked, Akroma -> Akroma, etc) won't be repeated, but that instead we will get new semi-shifts, some of cards from TS & PC, but others of old cards that weren't reprinted in either set.
What if Fate is a graveyard mechanic? (If it even exists).
Something like, Fate 4 (If ~this~ is put into the graveyard from play,
remove it from the game with 4 time counters on it. At the beginning of
your upkeep, if ~this~ is removed from the game with one or more time
counters on it, remove a time counter from ~this~. When the last time
counter is removed, return ~this~ to play.)

There's no problem with Slivers in Xth except that a LOT of people really hate them, and will be waiting eagerly for them to leave standard again.
*A deck they believe is good, and beats their friends on a regular basis, not tourney-good.

This idea was inspired by the Tombstalker thread.
