Hello fellow taxmen/taxwomen! I've loved playing D&T for about 2 years, more specifically GW D&T. Ever since Ramunap Excavator was spoiled, the gears in my head have been whirling, trying to figure out how to get this card into the build. Here's a rough sketch of what I've been tinkering with. What do you all think? Comments and suggestions are more than welcome.
Orzhov Pontiff is a great card in the humans builds. It pumps your team when you need it, or removes a bunch of tokens.
Unrelated, has anyone tried Dark Confidant in any of the builds? It provides a large amount of value the deck may be missing. I'm considering cutting the 2 Mayors and a Heretic Cather for them.
I've been testing Abzan Falconer on MTGO as a 2 of. In friendly leagues, I've been putting up a lot of 4-1 results. It is a fantastic card against decks that go wide faster or larger than us. Merfolk actually feels winnable with this card. I think I'm going to run one MD and one SB going forward.
Real talk, every time I take on UW Control (which is often because it is everywhere on MTGO), it feels like an impossible match-up. Has anyone seen success in devoting SB cards to the match-up? If so, which cards have helped? I usually go with the following.
When you guys are struggling to get delirium online, have you guys every played a Death's Shadow (DS) when your life is above 12 just to get a creature in the graveyard?
I have ran into a few situations where I have had a transverse, a few fetchlands (which I kept flooding on), and a DS in hand at 15 life. The graveyard had 3 types, artifact, sorcery, and land. Do you hold on a turn and focus on playing a 1/1 DS next turn, or play the DS automatically sending it to the graveyard to get delirium, and grab a Tarmogoyf?
This 5-0 MTGO list ran main deck Ranger of Eos. I'm trying to think of the meta where this would be best to run main deck... Probably really grindy metas with lots of Abzan and Jund?
Lingering Souls is one of the best cards ever printed against grindy decks in my opinion. I don't know how Gery and Majors beat heavy removal decks with out that cards and Ranger of Eos.
I definitely agree. There's a lot of footage of SCG Dallas where Lingering Souls was the only reason Shadow decks were able to win game 2 or 3.
GB/x shadow lists lost a larger hold, while UB/x has risen in play.
What do you guys think this means for the deck? To me, it looks like the meta is just adjusting to the presence of the GB/x shadow decks.
Hi all, how AM I supposed to side against kikki chord ? I play with thé white splash
As a former kiki chord player, a few cards in the shadow list really stand out.
Mainboard:
1. Liliana, the Last Hope - amazing against all the mana dorks and small critters they run.
2. Discard - great for taking apart the ramp and combo pieces.
Sideboard:
1. Anger of the Gods - Backbreaking against an established board
2. Nihil Spellbomb - Stop Eternal Witness shenanigans. Prevents them from buying back Chord of Calling or anything else.
3. Fulminator Mage - Kiki mana bases tend to be greedy, especially when they splash a 4th color for black or blue. Punish them.
Has anyone done some testing with Filigree Familiar? It looks like a neat value card for the evolution lists, but I'm not sure if it's what we are looking for at the 3-drop spot.
Hey guys, been a while since I've posted in here but I'm still on Kiki-chord. Does anyone have any advice for the Bant Eldrazi matchup?
I've found that an early magus really shuts them down. Linvala shuts them down as well, but it always hurts to evo into her only to see her get pathed.
What do people think of the new spoilers peudo-wrath 5 drop creature? I'd post a picture, but the English version hasn't been spoiled. Here's the text:

Pokken is referring to one of the recent matches at GP Indy. It's impossible to post a link to what they were talking about currently as the tourney is happening live. There are better ways to ask for information than demanding it.

If bloodbraid elf was legal in modern, would we run it? Cascading into a Evolution in a more value oriented shell seems pretty sweet.
