Kyouda, the Fractured Mirror3UUU
Legendary Creature - Spirit Illusion (R)
Other nonlegendary creatures have myriad.
Whenever an attacking creature is dealt combat damage, Kyouda, the Fractured Mirror deals 1 damage to that creature's controller. From a rend in the world it came, and every step was a hammer on the windows of the mind.
5/5
Not sure if this counts as "a card with myriad," if I could get a judge ruling that would be great.
I am currently building a Karona, the False God EDH deck, and I wanted to use gold-bordered basic lands from the World Championship Decks in my manabase. Does anyone know how I could go about acquiring these, and how much do they cost?
Furybound Minotaur 2R
Creature - Minotaur Warrior (U)
When Furybound Minotaur enters the battlefield, if it's not a token, you may sacrifice it. If you do, it deals 3 damage to target creature or player.
Embalm 1R Even in death, his rage lingers.

Spectral Convocation3BG
Legendary Enchantment (Rare)
Whenever a Spirit enters the battlefield, if its controller controls no non-Spirit creatures, that player reveals cards from the top of his or her library until they reveal a Spirit card, then puts that card onto the battlefield and the rest into their graveyard.
Jaya, Flame of Regatha1RR
Planeswalker - Jaya
Activate abilities of Jaya, Flame of Regatha only if an opponent was dealt damage this turn.
+2: Jaya, Flame of Regatha deals 2 damage to target creature.
-3: Creatures can't block this turn.
-5: Jaya, Flame of Regatha deals 6 damage to each creature, each player, and each other planeswalker. Creatures dealt damage this way lose indestructible until end of turn.

Are we interested in Yahenni's Expertise? It seems pretty good for us since we don't play many creatures (aside from pyro) and helps vs Jund, affinity, merfolk, etc. Also helps with RRR on Seismic Assault...
I totally missed last month's contest... School is craaazy.

Whenever a source would deal damage this turn, its controller draws a card instead. "I'd rather you didn't do that, actually... Have some gold instead."
I think that having five colour-aligned factions really creates a mindset of wanting to design around those factions, similar to Tarkir or Ravnica. I am in agreement that the primary focus of the design should NOT be on the factions, as it distracts from the feel of the world. In addition, I don't like having the particular factions being "assigned" to each layer, especially seeing as we've agreed that the layers have a tendency to move around. I think it's far better to just agree on which factions exist, what the races are, etc., and then move onto design with that in mind, as opposed to having that dictate what we are doing. Also, we should decide whether we want a concrete storyline or if we're just using the coolness of the world to carry the flavour (think Tarkir/BfZ vs Original Ravnica/Zendikar).
Fodder Dealer3B
Creature - Dwarf Rogue (U)
When Fodder Dealer enters the battlefield, create two 1/1 colorless Thopter artifact creature tokens with flying. 1, Sacrifice a Thopter: Target creature gets -1/-1 until end of turn. The dwarves of Dhund are adept in more than artifice.

I like the idea of enchantments that permanently flip into creatures. It conjures an image of some collection of mana slowly coalescing into life, similar to how stars are born from nebulae. Just to throw some ideas out there:
Leeching Essence1B
Enchantment (C)
Whenever a creature enters the battlefield under an opponent's control, that player loses 1 life. 2B: Transform Leeching Essence.
// Essence Leech
Creature - Insect (C)
Whenever Essence Leech attacks, if an opponent has 10 or less life, it gets +1/+0 and gains menace until end of turn.
2/2
And then there's this one:
Shifting Expanse3G
Enchantment (M) G: You may play an additional land this turn.
When your discovery is six or more, transform Shifting Expanse.
// Foliage Gargantua
Legendary Enchantment Creature - Avatar (M)
Hexproof, trample
Foliage Gargantua's power and toughness are each equal to the number of lands you control.

I am in agreement with using Discovery, Unbound, Cycling, and DFCs. However, I think that there would be room with the current lineup for a few Forbidden cards, as they don't really take up space as a mechanic, especially since I strongly feel they should not exist at common.
Varakna ScavengerBRG
Creature - Viashino Shaman (R)
Cycling 2 (2, Discard this card: Draw a card.)
Whenever you sacrifice a creature, you may pay 1. If you do, return Varakna Scavenger from your graveyard to your hand.
3/2
We could do a vertical cycle of 5 Forbidden cards at each rarity except common (maybe make the uncommon or rare ones gold). I don't like the idea of adding such a complex mechanic at the common level. It might also be interesting to give them all the wonder subtype.
