DMX, I noted that as soon as I got home and tried to piece the deck together. Sadly, my weekend's been ridiculously busy. Can you hold the deckbox for me until Thurs?

You can potentially run Raid bombardment with a Concordant Crossroads. Or Concordant Crossroads with Vitalizing Wind (cast with a Gaea's Cradle).

I couldnt have gone to EDH tonight anyway...GoC knows why...looks like we're also gonna have a packed FNM this week, as Royal isn't doing one. Is Thurs EDH still a go? I'll be there if so. ;-)

    GoC,

I'm more happy that I can now kick a goblin. :-D. Will see everyone coming to Mark's tonight. Please don't forget the deck for me, GoC, and the Sinkhole. Texting you now.

Cant wait for some EDH tonight, even if it does mean I may be late for work again in the morning...just have to make sure my alarm's set correctly this time...LOL.

Teneb's fine and all for EDH, but I'm on the lookout for a new general. Something nutty, where I can be perfectly happy building a deck that fits me. Anyone have any suggestions for a general?

    Itomar,

The gf and I did the parental meetings this weekend. Her family loves me, and she now sees why I need a better job so I can move out already. This weekend, though...no gf...at least not during Magic times. I'll be at Royal possibly with a new deck to try out...depending on whether I get decent enough sleeves for them. Deck is wicked, and I think it'll work wonders in our meta...at least for me. :-D

    Itomar,

Winds up they had 6. Had you, max, and myself showed up, it would have been a tourney. I hear they drafted instead.

Samoht, itomar, GoC, techno, and this_is, I have your numbers. Anyone else who plans to come down to sunday Legacy at Royal, please PM me your phone number and I will make every attempt to spread word about whether the tourney is on, or if we can head elsewhere to draft/chill.

But stuff like that is to be expected in Magic. Planeswalkers really are control elements, as you have smaller abilities that tend to build up to larger ones. White and blue are the control colors, so the walkers seem broken.

I took a weekend exiled from Magic, but am down this week for whatever pops up, except relatively broke. What are the plans for this week? Anything going on?

Also, for all of you that go to Royal, please text me or PM me your phone number. I'll be keeping tabs each week on how many people are going, and if we won't have enough, I'll make a few calls so nobody shows up from a while out. :-D.

    madrad,

If you're in Brooklyn, I suggest you ask GoC about hanging out. Most of the Magic activities in Brooklyn revolve around him, unless you're willing to travel. My group in Queens needs a fourth drafter once in a blue moon, and we're usually traveling out to LI. Take down my AIM screen name, and we'll figure something out: Orion81785.

they're only buying at $40 because to this point, there's been less ROE opened than there was 9th edition opened. As more ROE hits the shelves, Gideon's price will drop, leaving the Gideon-receiver of that trade with a $20 card while you sit there with a then $75 Force of Will, since GP: Columbus will be right around the corner. Sorry. But I've been number watching for 10 years in this game, and I've seen it all...LOL

throw in a fetch, treds? difference between the prices is a little more than a fetch land. Force is a Vintage/Legacy cornerstone, while a Gideon is a hot new planeswalker. I'd say put Gideon at about $25 and give $25 worth of other cards and you may be striking close to fair...

    Cookie,

Welcome to the thread. You're in Fort Lee? Sounds pretty cool. Do you only play Standard?

    Apnoia,

Welcome is in order to you, as well. We have a few guys here from Brooklyn (I'm a Queens guy myself) so I'll let them explain to you the various spots in Bklyn, although if you look under Upcoming Events on the forum, you should see something from Brooklyn Gamers. From what I understand, that may be your best bet.

    Madrad,

Welcome. I see we now have 2 Goblins players, potentially for Legacy, too...*sleeves back up Goblin Pyromancer for Survival SB*

    Treds,

Next gideon I pull, I'll give you gideon for a force any day of the week. :-D

On a different note, I may or may not be coming to FNM this Friday, depends on the new gf and exactly when Im meeting her family. I'm pushing for Saturday, but because her family does the Friday night Shabbos dinner, I may be stuck going Friday night. Don't fret, I'm still alive...just with one more thing to occupy my time.

    GoC,

I didn't get a chance to look at the torment list, but I finally did. I agree with all the cards, plus I also want to add a few:

Teroh's a potential bomb in EDH, Vengeful Dreams is powerful, Illusionist is the cornerstone of Cephalid Breakfast decks (outdated, but has potential to come back), Sage sees play in Vintage Dredge lists once in a while, Llawan is an EDH nightmare for blue decks, Obsessive Search is a cornerstone of Madness, Turbulent Dreams is powerful, Rancid Earth sees play in Pox SBs as an answer to Empty the Warrens/stupid gobbos decks/elves.

I'm not gonna be at Mark's this week. Prefer to go out on dates with cute nerd girls. :-D I'm there for EDH Thursday, tho...let me know what's going on, GoC...we'll coordinate something
