boggart sprite chaser, this card is incredible in the r/b goblin decks with cards like skeletal changeling and firebelly changeling, my favorite draft right now is kithkin greatheart and boggart sprite chaser with changlings for a strong early game. even in the late game you still have fliers and first strikers and blades of velis veil to make a great force
shriekmaw is a great card, but i dont think its a card that says "im going to run black to play this" a card like imperious perfect is a card that will define a game if it gets going and will seriously define the outcome. seeing an imperious perfect in sealed, and i go green, shriekmaw is an auto include for even a black splash, but i wont say im playing black purely for it.
with the number of bombs there are in the rare slot, i dont think the uncommon bombs have been getting their propper recognition.
personally i have a soft spot for imperious perfect. but what uncommon cards do you think are strong enough to build a limited deck around?
the biggest problem with the packmaster is that every1 who wants it can get it. not only was it the prerelease card but its in the elf precon, so its never gonna be worth more than 5 or 6 dollars, because it cant be run in every deck like jitte could
drop the force of savagery and the spectral force, and pretty much green as a whole, go mono red, maybe splashing red for a 4 of shriekmaw. add in caterwauling bogart to make ur elementals hard to block, maybe changeling berserker, because its 4 for a 5/3 haste that counts as an elemental. glareweilder is awsome for forcing through the final points of damage. incandescent soulstroke seems like its more of a later game card and the flamekin are a quick kill breed. Inner flame-acolyte is great turn 3 with nova chaser if you evoke it. to give chaser haste putting them in burn range by the end of turn . o and um, Incinerate???
wanderwine prophets +cryptic command. tap all your opponants creatures down, swing for 4, sac a merfolk take another turn, repeat, to gaurantee unlimited turns add summon the school
Pretty basic stompy-type deck. Run out early mana elves into Troll Ascetic, or Thoughtseize into Vanquisher/Tarmogoyf. Harbinger into Packmaster for the champion "loop", Nath for added disruption, Eyeblight's Ending for removal, viridian shaman for artifact destruction, or Masked admirers for recurring card advantage. Thornwield Archer seems like a solid third 2-drop, providing a way to trade with tarmogoyf, greater gargadon, and calciderm (it may turn into Marsh Boa if it's found there's enough elf consistancy, as that answers the aforementioned creatures just about as well, and can be evasive in the process). Garruk provides a solid top of the curve, giving beast tokens for wrath recovery, or mana accel for more packmaster tokens followed by a huge overrun for the win.
the deck seems nice, but there arent enough types to make the tarmagoyf worthwhile, i would drop him for imperious perfect, which pumps out 2/2s for G a turn. also the troll seems out of place here, if you want to go elves go all out and swap in elvish champion.
im liking this set so far, the main reason that tarmogoyf was so expensive was that it was one of the only money rares in futuresight, this set already has the duals, which will have some value, gaddok teeg, doran, the duress, planeswalkers, goldmeadow mage, knucklebone witch, oonas prowler, profane command, brion stoutarm, rings of brighthearth, im sure the hideaway lands will have some value, depending on the requirements, the commands, or atlest the blue and black. my point is there are alot of rares that will be money rares, which i think as a whole will decrease the cost of each one individually, cuz the average price of a rare in a set cant be more than $2, or people would just keep buying boxes of 36 packs for $75 and sell any they dont want.
