red is an aggressive color. and never has. The only x/3 for 2 red has ever gotten that wasn't aggressive or had defender or some other drawback was blazing effigy which was a 0/3 that did damage on dying.
except that it enters with 6 loyalty already, and if you +1 her when you play her she is at 7, getting to 9 would not be too hard against the decks it hoses (control) as long as you can protect her the turn you play her.
The real question is going to be what we get in terms of low cost dragons. Right now the only ones that exist at 3 mana or less (aside from changelings) are slumbering dragon, and dragon hatchling, and dragon egg.
manifest will actually play very differently in older formats, and does a lot to explain why suspension field was printed as is. being able to blink a creature that was face down without morph can be incredibly powerful. ie:cloudshift my face down emrakul
Beneath the Rubber Tree
Land T:Add W to your mana pool
Creatures you control get +0/+2
Alternatively:
Creature you control with a toughness less than 4 have a toughness of 4.
and this would not be a 4 of in every white deck as well as many non white decks to make creatures bolt proof because???
Because bolt is the most played removal in modern (or second most after path, depending on tie of day) and white is the least used color in modern. In addition, there are many great creatures that are useless on modern because they fail the bolt test. This makes the test easier to pass - note that for a 1/1 they still fail (under the first option) and you can still use bolt if the creature is damaged in any other way. The second option might be too strong, but the overall idea is probably sound.

but there is no drawback to it. Nonwhite decks would play this as a colorless land that pumps all their guys toughness. I mean it is certainly a 4 of in affinity because ornithopter is now bolt proof. you can snapcaster a volcanic fallout and have it live. and with 2 of these in play, god help any aggro deck. aggro is practically dead in modern, It would make all aggro decks except doran obselete. then there are cards that make it stupid. can you imagine going this turn 1, forest turn 2, devoted druid, vesuva copying this turn 3, make 6 mana by tapping druid, and tap both lands putting you at 8 mana off a creature that was bolt proof when it entered? primeval titan anyone? get 2 more of these, make 4 more mana, leaving you with 6 mana to play with. and that is just 1 possibility. at a minimum it should etb tapped and make the +2/+0 a tap ability not a static one, not to mention it should target a creature. not work on all of them.
