I love Mentor but it not having value when it hits the battle field makes it bad. Bygone Bishop may be a better option too, but I still think the effect is too slow. Tireless Tracker does almost the same thing as these two but with lands. I know you said Mono white, But its just an all around better card. it grows and on turn 4 gets instant value. Thrabin Inspector kind of is doing what Mentor would, but at a much lower CMC. So as enticing as it looks, I don't think its what you want to be playing.

I have gotta say, I was very inspired by theau mery's list after watching coverage. I have to admit, looking at the list I was a little skepitcal. I traded my gb tron deck online to get it. It is crazy. I think it has to be better than 50% against every matchup other than affinity and burn. It easy stomps on death's shadow. It is so fun. I think i'm going to trade for it in paper as well it is so good! Im thinking about taking out the 2x silence for 2x leonin relic warder, thoughts?
Anything is better then silence in this spot. Theau's list was playing sunlance, the silence was a typo.

So the last week ive been playing a similar list to the 2nd place list in Vegas. The great part about this deck is that it gives something to the deck that we have not really had. Horizon, Inspector, Blade Splicer and the 8 blink effects make a real engine of card advantage. It can be amazing how this deck flows through cards. Managed one 5-0 and two 4-1 in competitive leagues with it so far. Very fun to play and I feel like im back to a good ol "classic" D&T shell.

I personally loved it when you would make a formal post on new expansions and what you think would have legs in our strategy. So one vote from me Catmix!

I'm finding myself less and less impressed by Craig Wescoe's deck list decisions. I'm not sure if I just have a different style than him, but I used to think he was the man when it came to hatebears/dnt strategies. But yeah, really questionable choices in his 75 whenever he plays lately.

Plus the mono white list in the finals was almost the same 60 card main deck that Craig got 2nd in a MOCS. Questionable? Yeah sure, but I think we need to acknowledge him as a important part of this strategy and at least consider his choices when fighting the meta.

Here is a Link to Andrea Mengucci taking Eldrazi and Taxes for a spin.

Only watched the first match so far. I have always preferred mono white as my deck of choice and it is still the version I prefer to play the most. That being said, for those who are going to play online, Eldrazi is the best way to go. The modern Meta is huge, and people online play so many different decks its very hard to meta game. This is why the more powerful E&T is putting up better results for me(and most others). It just has so much game vs the field then a regular D&T deck. Add hand disruption and creature removal tacked onto creatures and its hard to argue over. Just want to give E&T credit, because I have kind of always looked down on the deck because its not "pure". Yeah I said it, "pure". LOL

Off any topic but I know my fellow D&T players will appreciate this. I was updating and sorting my cube with my son and he shows me these two card and said "Relic seeker is wearing elspeths armor and finding her sword." Pretty cool. Sorry about the non-competitive worthless info. Wink

A morph will flip with fiend hunter and flickerwisp. I remember playing this combo in the good ol days. Could be interesting in a heavy spellskite/displacer type deck.

I have had this happen 5 times (that I have noticed, anyway) But you can submit for reimbursement through wizards website. You will get your entry fee back.

3 stranglers seems perfect. I think playing too many causes problems with it not having enough exile fuel. If you really want to play main deck relics to support 4 then I think that can be ok. The card we want to play 4 of is Displacer. Displacer does so much work. This is where blade splicer comes in. Easily making two tokens a turn is very easy in this deck. Blade Splicer is in E&T for card advantage.

Anyone feel underwhelmed with white in Kaladesh? Still waiting on that one drop we want...

I'm planning on building Eldrazi & Taxes once I get my Aether Vials in. Would it be considered important to get some fetch lands in there, too? Sorry if I don't want to sift through the earlier argument to get an answer. :s

In BW eldrazi its best to play pain lands because they act like Tri-Color lands. No need to get into the debate about fetch lands in D&T because Eldrazi and Taxes probably cant make room for them. I wouldn't want to cut my Shambling Vents and a basic swamp to try and fit them in.

Hey everyone! So I have a PPTQ coming up next week, and I've been practicing with Mono-White D&T to get ready for it. I just can't seem to settle on a list that I like. I'm unsure if I want to keep the curve lower, leaving our Resto Angels, or drop Judge's Familiar and go slightly bigger. For reference, this is pretty close to the list I've been practicing with:

I've been wanting to mess around with Serra Avenger, has anyone had any success with her? Any tips or advice on my list would be appreciated as I don't have much time to work on it before the PPTQ. Thanks in advance for any suggestions!
Serra Avenger is a great card, but I don't think you're list wants or needs it. Avenger can still have its place but any slots I would want Avenger in I would rather have Selfless Spirit. I like all the protection this list provides for its taxers. No advice though cause the list looks great. Good luck!
