If I cast Gilded Drake while I have an unpaired Deadeye Navigator on the battlefield, can I pair the Drake with the Navigator and activate the Drake in response to his EtB trigger? If so, do I still get to steal a creature?
Additionally, I was considering using Equilibrium with Gilded Drake but I wasn't sure if I could use the Equilibrium trigger to have the Drake bounce himself. And again, if so, do I still steal a creature?
Thanks, krichaiushii. The consonlidation of my collection was definitely a powerful motivator for constructing The Box. I already traded a Mayael the Anima deck and Heartless Hidetsugu deck(enjoy the Gauntlet of Might, Rob) to a friend of mine for some Underground Seas a Tropical Island, fetches and a few other things. And Pucatrade is in the near future. That site is an amazing way of trading up on bulk stuff.
Mostly it's just really nice being able to build my favorite decks without having to keep thousands of cards.
Further elucidation shall be forthcoming, fellow planeswalkers! I'll be adding sections for the first, second, and third string decklists. In the mean time, you may be able to see what decks can be built from the sections above.
The Big Three which were the beginning of the Integration are:
Hazezon Tamar
Horde of Notions
Nekusar, the Mindrazer
Horde is the only deck which can be made purely by selecting sections.
This is a project I've been working on for some time. Simply stated, it is the integration of all of my EDH decks in one box, sectioned off in such a way that I am able to build a great number of them very quickly by combining the appropriate sections. There are further branches which allow for other decks to be built somewhat less quickly, requiring certain cards to be selectively taken from particular sections. Further still, there are a number of theoretical decks whose constituent parts exist within the box, but they are scattered throughout the sections and require much more time to assemble.
This minimalistic spirit of The Box was greatly inspired by an idea which occurred to my brother--his intention was to create a cube for EDH, allowing up to 4 players to each create an impromptu deck from a variety of different commanders. This is my personal variation of that idea. One Box which allows me to build over a dozen decks with just over 400 cards.
Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre warrants mention. You should be running plenty of mana rocks to get him out in a reasonable time. Use the cards in your original post, Ulamog, and Oblivion Stone/Academy Ruins. I think the Control Magic strategy is specious. Stealing and copying effects are only as good as your opponent's spells. Why not just play good spells of your own?
Good luck with the deck. I'm working on a Nicol Bolas deck of my own.
Thanks!
Peace

Like so:

Bonus!
What if I had TWO Rings of Brighthearth?
Good luck with the deck. I'm working on a Nicol Bolas deck of my own.
