The End of an Era

When I went to the future sight prerelease I pulled some pretty nice cards, such as Acroma, angle of Wrath.
But then I saw a card that blew my mind Jhoira of the Ghitu It’s a 2/2 legendary human wizard for RU1 with
2: remove target non land card in ur hand from the game with 4 time counters on it, (now this is the part that blew me away) if the card does not have suspend it gains suspend……… I will allow u a moment to take that in…….

    WTH!!!!!!!

Now it did not look further into the card until I came across Rift Elemental…… ya….. that’s a little too good of a combo I though to my self, but it worked and I won 4 games with it.
Now for those who don’t get it I will explain it for u. Rift Elemental is a 1/1 for R that has R1: remove a time counter from a permanent or suspended card u own, Rift Elemental gets +2/+0 until the end of the turn. Now that in its self is a good card but say there r only a few good suspend cards u can play and u don’t want to be running all those fading cards. Well Jhoira of the Ghitu puts an end to ur indecision. She can suspend almost any thing….. FOR 2!..... even ur card that already have suspend! What is good about this is that u could even suspend that huge 10/10 creature with R: suspend 10 for only 4 turns instead, for generic mana! But here’s the thing that I REALY LOVED, u can now suspend Acroma……………… thank you God (MR)…………… this is stupidly cool, and with the rift elemental she comes all the faster. But now u ask ur self “ how will I ever find this awesome wizard in my all too big deck”, well there’s an answer for that too… wizard cycling Grin

She fun, she brutal… but can she fit into any deck construct?
Deck designers show me what ur made of

sorry for the double thred my com got screwed up

comon peole i need help with this!

i love simic and ever since Dissension came out i have been building a simic theme deck
ithink it is pretty much done but maby there are some loose ends i am not seeing
i am some what of a perfectionist and i just want this deck to be as efficient as possible and i would love some feed back on what i may be doing wrong

o and that is just the first thing
as a side note please keep in mind i would like thideck to be standered leagal

now i have been testing this deck for a while and i have been ripping it apart and re building it form the land base up
i have finally made some thing that is in the least bit playable but it still seems a little sluggish to me
the only other thing that i need help with is the side board wich at this point consists of only 4x Wipe Away
this deck can compete with the best of them and all i need is to fine toon it and al i need u guys (or girls) to do is show me where to tighten the screws

Is there a reason for the bonesplitters? Why not drop them for those extra elemental swords in the sideboard. They are much better. Then you can have some more sideboard room for other bad matchups.

Also, Wrath of God seems kind of against what you are trying to do here. Armageddon is what you really want (too bad it isn't extended legal). You could splash red for some of its varients Boom // Bust.

i am sorry i forgot to post this earlier ther is a reason for the Bonespliters
turn one drop land and a Auriok Glaivemaster
second turn drop a land and a Bonespliter, swing for four with a first striker
but i do see what u r saying and i will try that and as for other side board cards i want to get needls but they are hard to find let alone get, any substitutes would be helpful (but there is no substitute for the real deal)
next i am trying to keep it mono white and i realy dont want to add red because then it will turn into another boros deck, yawn
the only thing i have left to say is why mess with the wrath?
that card has bailed me out of every bad situation u can think of that involves creatures and i can bounce back faster than they can

well i have been playing white weeny for as long as i have been playing magic
they are so cute and fun untill... they... get... A JITTE! AAAHHH!!!!!!! Grin
i made this deck when Miorden came out and i have been tweaking it ever since

this is all i got for a side board right now

the basic flavor of the deck is color hate
i love color hate because they realy cant do any thing about it
and if it is affinity they will "love" Eight-and-a-Half-Tails ( ya right :p )
and if they are playing specific colors just side the swords and creatures accordingly for best results
the deck can handle most things but of course there are problems some times so any suggestions would bee a big help (especialy on my side board, I cant make side boards)

on a side note this stupid deck beat an affinity deck that beats Orim's Chant on a stick! WTH!!!!!!!!!!!:o

please help me, i am always trying to update the deck and your suggestions r welcom, no mater how insulting they r

weeeellllll........................ it's... different... to say the least
i would loose the plains and get some dule land in and lastly go with seething song for the mana boost for the wrap world
and maby some scatter the seeds for additional creatures in play
but i think this deck is a real... change from the norm
i like the fact that u r thinking out side the box and not running the same deck as every one else
if u end up with a deck list that wrocks send me a copy of it becuase it looks funa and complicated
kinda like a vintage deck only without the moxen or a lotus
(o and find some bigger creatures for the fun factor, an Avalanche Rider is ok but a Autochthon Wurm makes them cry)

well this deck brings back some bad memories
    and i do mean bad
i had some one in my play group that ran a deck like this one and i hated to play it, it was like throwing cards in the trash (by that i mean my cards never hit play) }:P
well at least i'll never meat u in person
    now for my edits
shocks are good but i would rather use Electrolyze becuase u can split the damage and u get cad draw and i mean real what is blue without card draw?
secon i would defiantly use Steam Vents and Shivan Reefs
third i would get rid of the excruciator for some thing more playable
lastly i would go with Pyroclasm and Rough//Tumble

    so try this

    i just had another thought
u should run the loxodon war hammer because it is a good card
but in adition i would ru a Sun forger, with it u could find Lightning Helix, Master Warcraft and any other red or white instant u have stashed in ur deck
but choose ur instants wisely and regulate the amounts of each
i would only run one or two Master Warcrafts for instance, this is only because it is a last resort card and is not a big part of ur deck
another thing is get ur creature count up, but get rid of thunder totem u should not be paying for a creature more than once and with this card u need to play it, pay for it to attack, pay for it to defend and pay for it to apply for any other creature based effects
if u want an alternative add some Urza's Factorys, they make creature tokens if u need them, there a land and they can still be used for mana

what is boom/bust any way do u mean dead and gone because if u do that is not a very good reason for adding red
ya ok its two spells in one but come on u cant just add red for that
blood knight is a good creature and u should use it
as for red in general add the helixes and probably some of the other splits from PC

o and to clarify i run wrath in my white weeny deck and it has saved my but more than once
i use a version of what u are using and i have even been told by pros that my deck is good
so just listen to me and try to take an objective position and move away from ur opinions for a moment
wrath is a life saver. standard takes a while to play because the format is limited
by the time u get to the later game u got creatures that u cant deal with because ur little guys are too small
well u have some low casters in ur hand because ur a smart magic player and u save stuff for later
u play a quick wrath to clear the field and then bulldozer them down with a wave of small fries because they have played out their quickies and all they have left are biggies which cost alot
that is how u play wrath in white weeny

just to let u see this
o and ghostway is a good idea for wrath as well
and thank u kalamarcet for ur support

hay whats up with thunder totem get rid of it
second could u put ur thing so that people can click on the cards to check them out please
next put in Blood Knight it is a good card and with ur mana construct u can pull the colors u need for it fast enough so don't be put down by its RR cost
finally i would end on saying that Wrath of God will not hurt u for one reason ALL UR STUFF IS LOW COST!!!!!!!
use wrath it is a good card and since ur stuff is expendable and ez to recast it wont be hard to re organize ur self after it hits the feild
try some higher casters as well for late game winers, u don't want Savanna Lions on ur 6th turn or a stonecloaker for that mater

  • posted a message on 5 color decks viable in type 2?
i personally don't see the point of playing five colors in standard
go for creativity not tie-dye (five colors) this is not art class ya know
but if i had to make a suggestion i would go withe the Witch-Maw Nephilim deck it is solid and fun to play
but get a grip man the only realy good 5 color deck is zoo
