Well well, this is the 2nd site that goes down on me... I moved here after Essential Magic went into a deep slumber around 2015, never to really wake up again (it's still around, but with a completely dead forum).
Sad news, not sure where to go now once MTGS closes down for good.

Well, if MTGS was so horrible, how come you're still here complaining about it? Dumbass.... what a lame comment!Quote from ironocy »Hahaha yes! Good riddance, this forum was terrible. Horrible mods, dumb rules, and convoluted sections and subsections. It's no surprise you didn't have the resources to maintain, this whole site is an unnecessary labrynth. Farewell MtGS, I have lived to see the day this site collapse under its own weight. What a glorious day indeed! -

I suppose that in the case of control magic, the God would then go back to it's owner, right?
To make things easier, I also plan to ask a friend to assist with all the triggers.
Man, this deck is complicated! I foresee my playgroup complaining when I get mixed up with all the triggers going on the stack and I try to resolve them in the correct order. With the various cards in play, there are occcurences where I put creatures/tokens in play, drain some life, draw and or scry, all at the same time (more or less)....
Thanks for helping me ensure I handle it as well as possible! Now, if I can only try to achieve all of this in a timely manner, thus avoiding more complaints! lol
4 Carrier Thrall
2 Dross Hopper
2 Grim Haruspex
4 Kalastria Healer
4 Pawn of Ulamog
2 Smothering Abomination
4 Viscera Seer
4 Zulaport Cutthroat
2 Shadows of the Past
4 Wake the Dead
2 Army of the Damned
2 Immortal Servitude
After some playtesting, Army of the Damned works wonders by serving as a game ending condition. It makes use of all the eldrazi tokens to pay its casting cost then I sac the tokens for some massive damage.
If I control a Grim Haruspex, Shadows of the Past and Viscera Seer, what happens when I sacrifice a creature (or a creature dies another way)?
The deck I am working on (with zulaport Cutthroat is tricky to play (lots of triggers/activated abilities) and I want to make sure I have all the right info before I actually play it.
I have another question, if I also have in play a dark prophecy, I suppose I will draw 2 cards first then scry?
Thanks
They are too expensive, otherwise they would already be included.
2 Blistergrub
2 Carrier Thrall
2 Dross Hopper
4 Grim Haruspex
4 Kalastria Healer
4 Pawn of Ulamog
2 Smothering Abomination
4 Viscera Seer
4 Zulaport Cutthroat
2 Shadows of the Past
3 Wake the Dead
3 Immortal Servitude
Should I go for 4 copies of Carrier Thrall and forget about Blistergrub?
Otherwise, I am wondering if I should have stronger creatures? My only large threat is Smothering Abomination...
I am working on a casual multiplayer deck which features Silverblade Paladin. The idea is to have creatures such as Pride of Lions and rhox reach my opponent and deal lots of damage. In order to prevent them from dying, I also use Dolmen Gate.
The problem is that the deck is too slow and rolls over most of the time before I can setup the various pieces. Also, I am trying cloudshift to change the soulbound target in surprise but so far it sits most of the time in my hand. I may have too many land ramping cards, not sure if I should cut some.
Following is the latest version:
8 Plains
2 Selesnya Guildgate
4 Dawning Purist
4 Nightshade Peddler
4 Pride of Lions
4 Rhox
4 Silverblade Paladin
2 Serra's blessing
3 Cloudshift
1 Cultivate
1 Journey of Discovery
2 Safewright Quest
I need better creatures (1, 2 and 3 Cmc) that work well with Silverblade Paladin (or Nightshade Peddler). Do you have some suggestions that would make the deck tick better?
Here is a list of creatures that might be worth a try, but nothing stands out as really amazing. Any thoughts?
Glass Asp
Caustic Wasps
Centaur Rootcaster
Precinct Captain
Spawnwrithe
Thanks for the help!
