I have some equipments that provide trample (or unblockable)...Quote from Dunharrow »I feel like Trample would be better than double strike.

May 6, 2019The decklist can be found here, note however that it is currently being revised with the idea of adding more cards providing double strike to ensure a faster game. Some cards may seem suboptimal but I am tinkering with what I own at the moment, so feel free to mention obvious cards to add that I might have missed, if you can.Posted in: Commander (EDH)
My playgroup is casual but has some pretty good decks, but nothing with infinite combos or turn 4 wins. My goal with Zurgo (helmsmasher, you got that right) is to make games shorter, especially when it is getting late and I want to sneak in a last game.
Many thanks for your replies!
May 3, 2019Hi guys,Posted in: Commander (EDH)
Just need a few suggestions, I want to add more cards such as jokulhaups, obliterate and worldslayer but nothing that is straight-up MLD. In short, similar spells/permanents which seal the game if they are allowed to resolve.

Actually you get 24 tokens, not 12... In any case, Animar player must have rolled over and died from shame after that move!Quote from hyalopterouslemur »The one I always tell more than any is when I had out Doubling Season and Purphoros, God of the Forge. Animar player brings out Blightsteel Colossus. I then play Artifact Mutation.
For those who don't understand, there's no clause requiring the target of Artifact Mutation to be destroyed. So, I still get the 12 saprolings = 12 Purph triggers = 48 damage to everyone else.
Apr 24, 2019I had a similar case last week, where my opponent played a tolarian academy. I knew about the ban but only realized it after some turns later, so I simply pointed it out and let him keep it and finish the game. He wasn't doing anything broken with it anyway, so I guess everyone was ok with the decision.Posted in: Commander (EDH)

I completely agree with you.Quote from DirkGently »I feel like people are being overly harsh. Having a card that dodges board wipes and provides card advantage (not just card quality like copter, but actual CA) has potential, especially at only 2 cmc. Imagine playing a fairly creature-light control deck with lots of wipes - this could be a good way to swing in and get cards after a wipe, while putting on some pressure. And there are a lot of wipes in standard right now...
Not saying it's amazing, but I wouldn't say it's terrible.
That stupid song is now stuck in my head.... Arghhh!
Apr 8, 2019Following the Boros Sucks thread where the lack of a great RW commander was discussed in lenght, we can finaly rejoice that this issue has been at last resolved by WotC!Posted in: The Rumor Mill
Thanks for listening, Wizards! Although, the card had already been designed prior to the thread, but hey, thanks anyway!
Mar 13, 2019Magiqmaster posted a message on Derevi - Is it okay to complain? An assessment of Bants Master TacticianGreat read, your message caught my attention since I recently built a Derevi deck. It is however at its early stage and needs a lot of fine tuning. Would you have a decklist available, so I can enlighten myself?Posted in: Commander (EDH)
Feb 28, 2019Sorry if I am diverting this thread with my question, but what would be the next worst color pair, according to your experience/observation? My feeling would be green/white, but I cannot really back this up so enlighten me if you will!Posted in: Commander (EDH)
Feb 21, 2019Ok, just got back from my LGS. I am now the proud owner of the following cards (sorry no tags, on phone):Posted in: Commander (EDH)
Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth
Slaughter the Strong
I will add to the deck the above, plus:
Razaketh, the Foulblooded
Sword of the Animist
These were scavenged from 2 decks:
Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx
Removing lesser interesting cards as per your suggestions. Complete decklist here: https://deckbox.org/sets/1996900
Any comments are still welcome, but I think I now have something approaching Tev and Rumpy's decks.
Feb 20, 2019Hi again guys,Posted in: Commander (EDH)
I have pondered your latest comments since last week and I am now commited to invest a bit more money to make the deck truly shine. I have about 70$'s worth of cards to trade, so if I were to ask which cards should be added without a doubt, what would be your recommendations? Maybe 5-6 cards, or more if this fits into the alloted budget. I don't want to make the deck become so annoying that I get targeted from the start, but if you think a card really needs a spot, don't hesitate to mention it.
For sure, Weathered Wayfarer earns a spot, so Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth is another card I think will be added. Do you agree with either Akroma's Memorial and/or Eldrazi Monument?
I think Daxos deserves greatness, so thanks again for your assistance!
Feb 15, 2019Thanks for the prompt replies, I wasn't sure if you were around lately.Posted in: Commander (EDH)
I agree with most comments, however I am trying to avoid pricy cards for the moment, having already spent a lot of dineros to build the deck. I will however reuse Razaketh and Sword of Rampant Growth, as they were shifted to other decks. I also see the value with Slaughter the Strong, this one is a definite shoe-in. For the record, the 6CC board wipes don't really bother me, but I may try to swap a few for Wog and Fumigate, for example.
The biggest concern I should have mentioned is against flying, as my opponents usually pack several creatures with this ability. There isn't much out there to solve this problem, other than pricy cards such as Akroma's Memorial and Eldrazi Monument. Any thoughts on this?
Feb 15, 2019Hi all,Posted in: Commander (EDH)
It's been awhile since I tinkered with my Daxos deck. It was kinda bad and lacked focus to properly establish itself. I am posting my latest revision, and would like some feedback, if possible from 2 persons which really helped me a lot with their past helpful comments: Rumpy5897 and Lyonhaert. Thanks to you both, I have finally focused the deck to become a better pillowfort-control build and try to win with tokens. Before, I was all over the place with too many ideas, which did not provide good results. So, if you have a few minutes to review it and let me know your thoughts, I would greatly appreciate. Of course, anyone else is welcome to comment!
