    I personally love the lower rarity cards, especially staples, getting special frames. It's an easy and affordable way to bling out your deck.

    One of the huge things I believe people overlooked in the first Commander Legends was the ability to get things like Sol Ring, Command Tower, Swords to Plowshares, Three Wishes, and Arcane Signet (just to name a few) as extended art cards. It was one of the things I loved most about the set, and is severely missed in Baldur's Gate.

    Go to Google, type in 'mtg gatherer' and click the first link. It should say "Gatherer - Magic: The Gathering." This is WotC's official search engine for Magic cards. Type in the name of the basic land you want and click on the search button. On the right hand side, you'll see several hundred expansion symbols. Click on any one of those symbols. Each symbol contains a different art for that specific basic land (a lot of the core sets had reprints). I think this is a fun way to seek out the lands you want and get a visual history of MtG!

    As for my personal picks, for Mountains, check out Shards of Alara and the the Khans of Tarkir block; for Forests, I recommend the ones from M11 and Avacyn Restored; and finally for Swamps, I'd take a look at Innistrad and Time Spiral.

    First thing's first... I just discovered this thread, and it is AWESOME! Honestly, great work by absolutely everyone. Infinitely beyond my skills, as all I'm able to work with is Magic Set Editor.

    One of my favorite things to do with Magic Set Editor is update older cards with the M15 frame, but I'm horrible at making set symbols. Would anyone be interested in rendering a Tolarian Academy in the M15 frame, original art, with an Urza's Saga symbol, but at Myrhic rarity? That's it, nothing like extended art or bordeless frames.

    The artwork on Tolarian Academy is probably my favorite piece ever, and I would love to see what it would look like if made today and if Wizard's didn't have the Reserved List. Frown

    A couple of questions/requests!

    • Does anyone know where I could find high quality images of pre-Shards of Alara block expansion symbols in Mythic rarity form?
    • If that's not attainable, can anyone help me out with a pure black/white Urza's Saga set symbol to import into Magic Set Editor? It's my favorite expansion symbol, and I'd love to make a digitally altered Tolarian Academy with updated M15 frames and Mythic expansion symbol!

    Greetings, ladies and gentlemen!

    I fell in love with Booze Cube a couple months ago, and here are a couple of things I've learned from my experiences:

    - A lot of the cards are extremely overcosted, while having limited game impact. We've actually errated (Is that a word?!) some of the cards to push their power a bit, usually my making them cost significantly less.

    - Cards/abilities that just cost drinks are over powered. Take a drink to put a +1/+1 counter on this guy? Ok, you better block him, because I will literally drink 20 or however many times I need to to kill you (some people can just down it like water... I never cast Corporate Tutor un-kicked! And I casted it three times in one sitting of Booze Cube... I know, I'm an idiot. Weird ). We like how creative and fun the original Booze Cube cards are, so we try and use them, but adding cost like 1 or 1 life to things like that so they can't be used infinite times.

    - I read it somewhere in this post, but altering cube worthy cards I feel is the best way to create custom cards. How about an under costed Propaganda where creatures can't attack you unless they drink X (if you're gonna tax someone with drinks, it should be super pushed)? I made a Thought Seize variant where the caster lost 1 life and drank 5.

    - Most of the lands are completely overpowered. Drinking 1 or 2 to tap for WW is a ridiculously easy cost to pay. They're usually first pick worthy. I would just nix them.

    - Intoxicated is just no fun at all. It just makes games go on forever. We changed all intoxicated creatures to have boozetouch.

    I feel like I've started rambling, so I'll just end there, but I've got a lot more on my mind if any one ever wants to discuss updating Booze Cubes! And I know I've probably thought way too much into this, but I love Magic, and I love drinking. If I wanted to drink without any real structure, I'd just play Three Man or any of a million cards games that are completely random.

    What he's referring to by us getting 10, is I think it was said by Wizards that they don't want uneven mana bases for all ten pairs while Ravnica is still Standard legal, so it's been widely speculated that we'd be getting 10 duals this block. For example, if they print 5 enemy paired manlands, those 5 guilds would have a mana base advantage.

    Each one has something that catches my eye. For C, it's the shining skull. For B, its the moon. For A, it's that long-necked skeleton that I mistook it for the rag man's head at first glance, lol.

    I really love the mood and angle of B, but I might have to go with A just for the funny looking skeleton! :p

    Exactly! These look like something straight out of Mirrodin's reject design file... which is my absolute least favorite setting.

    Why do they have to call them slivers is my question? If they don't grant the complete hive their abilities, why not just call them something else? They altered their look and mechanic but called them slivers, it's easy to see why people are upset (even though I'm still on the fence about 'em).

    Counter target spell. If a spell was countered this way, reveal cards from the top of your library until you reveal a nonland card. Chaotic Backlash deals damage equal to that card's converted mana cost to that spell's controller. Put the revealed cards on the bottom of your library in any order.

    I don't understand why people are making connections to the moon being destroyed to the fact that no DFC's are in the set. I don't think a silver moon has anything to do with Ludevic's Abomination being hatched, or a bat turning into a vampire, or a chalice transforming, etc. I could be wrong.

    Ahhh, gotcha there bud. Missed the entire second page! I found your post, and if I was looking to spend that much money on Magic (buying packs), and I could of had the deal you had, I'd have jumped at it too.
