This deck seems pretty fun I have taken Chandra's Phoenix for Gitaxian Probe. I think the sd board should be a little different, putting phyrexian metamorph in there instead of maindeck.
Also played against a mono-red deck that was interesting. Ran Everflowing Chalice to get on turn 2, Volt Charge turn 3, kill one of my guys and proliferate the Chalice. Turn 4 Inferno Titan. Ran 4 Koths and some K-Phoenixs, etc. He was also running Combust in the main since most decks have some W/U creature to get (including Exarch). Can't be Spellskited either. Went 1-2 against him.
My deck was still pre-NPH against those. Took me until today to even find 3 Vault Skirge...
That deck is another one I'm testing and its between this deck and that deck for what I actually choose to sleeve up. Though I wouldn't combust main, sb for me because people around here love vamps and RUG.
I will be happy to stay out of this thread if the consensus is that Tezzeret is not worth it.
I don't think they are saying Tezzeret isn't worth it, your build looks awesome and I for one would love to play it and will be doing some play testing, but I think they are just saying your deck and theirs are two different deck types.
I really like this deck post NPH and I will definitely check it out. Also just an aside because I think its cool, you can shut down exarch/twin decks with spellskite, just steal their splinter twin when they cast it :p.
BTW, Metamorph copies color as well. So if it copies Inferno Titan, Kuldotha Phoenix, Urabrask, or the like. It's red.
I realize that, but I can use it say copy whatever pro red creature they are using to bother me. More testing is of course needed to see if metamorph is worth it, but it's been working out so far, very versatile.
One thing that isn't as great as I thought, in this deck at least, is spellskite, in theory it should be great, something to chump weenies with and protection for Koth, and it answers tumble magnets, but I don't know, I get myself really low on life with little to no blue mana.
I'm not totally sold on Phyrexian Metamorph, must just be better as 2 more Titans, but it has proved useful. I don't like running contagion clasp personally, the -1-1 is negligible and like stated before we don't really need a constant proliferate anymore. As for pro red hasn't really been a problem with effigy and metamorph, and also dismember in the side.
wow that is an unbelievable pack, I'd have to go with volt charge, though porcelian legionaire is really really good, also love the blinding souleater, went with volt charge because there aren't really any other good red cards, and white just has so many...it's tough passing the legionaire though.
I do run ruinblasters actually. :). On another note, I'm just not sold Karn, he seems good, but I just prefer to run Titans, though I have made some adjustments
One card I've been considering for sb especially for Valakut but even could be useful for other match-ups is Spellskite, not really to sure how worth it is with very little to no blue mana, but meh could be good. Also as to the conversation, my hardest match-up is still Valakut. Though Ruinblasters make that much easier game 2, I just honestly don't see a lot of Valakut where I am.
That looks really interesting. I'm guessing you use Karn for his -3? Only thing is no titans? They seem to good not to run. I love phyrexian metamorph had been thinking about how to add it in.
Seems pretty solid. What does everyone think? 21 artifacts. Attack with 6/4 hero pop out two 3/1 tokens then battlecry? Or play Elspeth, pop out three 3/1s? SB Hero of Oxid Ridge for caw blade. Tumble magnets deals with SoWaP Birds...
I've really liked them so far, pretty much every deck I play against they hit something, being a manland, dual, or a valakut. What have you been you testing against, for me I've just been seeing a lot of Valakut, Caw-blade (mainly esper-blade variant) and MBC (which is a stupid easy match-up).
