Lets say I have Prismatic Omens in play and want to play Simic Growth Chamber as my land drop.
When I cast Prismatic Omens, does Simic Growth Chamber come out of my hand as a "land of each basic type", so it comes in untapped and I don't have to bounce a land back to my hand?
Or does it come in to play tapped and I still have to bounce a land back?
Mirri's WTFG Enchantment - R At the beginning of your upkeep, draw a card and put Mirri's WTF on top of your library.
The best enchantment ever. Ever.
This doesnt actualy do anything example 1-10 are the top 10 of your library
1 is Mirri's WTF
You draw and cast 1
next turn you have the WTF in play and it goes to top. now you draw for turn and draw mirris WTF and are on your second card. If you had just drawn twice it would have done the same thing. That enchantment is pretty unplayable.
It is good at activating Enchantress triggers repeatedly and cheaply.
Multiplaer EDH is supose to be just fun.Having tiers in sutch a format is a disgrace
I have fun by countering everyone's cool stuff and comboing out early for a mass instakill. How are players such as myself meant to enjoy a game of EDH?
I don't know that it'll really see tons of play outside of niche commanders that need it to work right. It basically becomes a ritual specific to your commander. It's also pretty much completely useless outside of a commander deck so it will never be a 4 of like Homeward Path can be. On top of that, it only makes colorless unlike a lot of other commander only cards so it's going to be competing with a bunch of other utility lands. Sure it's auto include in Hakkon, Phage, Myojin, and Iname as one, but lots of other decks a one time commander tax evasion might not be worth it. I'm not sure I'd even run it with Ith, Higure, or Ink Eyes. I mean ninjutsu isn't much of a trick when they see it sitting in the command zone.
Usually play mono red but I wanted to try making a bant deck. My concept was to have some group hug type cards like Noble Benefactor and Prosperity, that help my opponents but also help myself, so I can play politics while slowly gaining combo pieces and setting up my own instant kill. Right now I think my deck needs to be more focused. It has a half enchantments/half creature toolbox thing going on right now, and lots of tutors to try to keep things consistent.
I am aiming to make this deck as tier 1 as possible, even if it's not possible with Pheldagrif, I can just change the general to Jenara if need be.
I have other good cards like Exploration and Burgeoning. I'm thinking this thing would be better with more of an Enchantress direction, but am not sure what to cut. Also if I go with cards like that, what are some good ways to fill my hand up with lands? I also think I should add a Time Warp card so I can cast it if I can ever get the Omniscience in to Enter the Infinite combo going.
So far the main thing I like tutoring for is Academy Rector so I can sneak Omniscience in to play, and sometimes Mind Over Matter+Arcanis.
Any tips and advice would be appreciated! If there are any important engines I'm missing, please let me know.
this deck looks pretty good, I've been working on UW weenie and Archangel of Tithes has been really good in it. I might try making a version of this with 4x Archangel in there.
Kids say "good game" in soccer because it is a cultural expectation that they do so. The cultural expectation around the phrase is not as universally accepted in Magic. Several people in this thread have explained why some people do not automatically accept the phrase "good game" as a canned phrase that is spoken for the sake of tradition with no specific meaning.
Can I ask what exactly you're trying to accomplish with this thread? As far as I can tell, your position is: You place a personal value in using the exact phrase "good game" after a match and want to be able to continue to do so, but sometimes people react negatively. You want people not to react negatively so that you can continue to behave in the same manner that you currently do. People have explained the rationale behind the lack of universal acceptance for the phrase, and now I'm not sure what you're getting at. You can accept that it's not going to make everyone happy all the time, but if you did that then we wouldn't still be talking. I can only surmise that you are interested in how not to get an occasional negative reaction, but you turn around and attack anyone who makes a suggestion. So help me out here. What are you trying to accomplish?
I'm not hoping to accomplish anything, but I'm unable to understand and comprehend how so many people are fighting against basic principles of sportsmanship in here.
So you should act sorry and "sympathetic" for beating someone in a tournament where the point of the game is to beat someone?
"Sorry for winning bro. Act salty and act like a dick if you want to. I understand."
What's the point of playing if you feel guilty for winning?
Being sympathetic isn't the same thing as being sorry or guilty. It means understanding things from the other person's perspective.
Do you not see how, after a match that was a complete blowout where your opponent didn't get to do anything meaningful the entire time, essentially saying "hey, thanks for that awesome game, you did great out there" might sound just a little patronizing? Because that's basically what you're saying when you say "good game." There's nothing wrong with wanting to win or being glad you did, but if your opponent is clearly on tilt then just acknowledge that things went well for you, or thank them for the round and wish them luck, and be done with it.
Should kids who get blown out 11-0 in a soccer game not shake hands and say good game with the team that beat them at the end of the game?
What about if I play a control deck or land destruction or a prison deck? Is it just impossible to have a good game against those decks unless you beat them?
This is where reading your opponent comes in.
Did they make some plays through your stuff? Get close to victory before you established a lock? Did they seem interested in figuring out how to play around/through what you were doing? Then sure, it probably was a good game.
Did you counter 12 spells in a row and get in with a single Delver? Did you blow up all their lands before they could play anything and force them to spend 5 turns in a row discarding? Probably worth being a little more sympathetic.
So you should act sorry and "sympathetic" for beating someone in a tournament where the point of the game is to beat someone?
"Sorry for winning bro. Act salty and act like a dick if you want to. I understand."
What's the point of playing if you feel guilty for winning?
Naw, it'd be easier to just not care what people with your attitude think. That's been working so far. You noticed I have half a million views and my account is over 10 years old, right?
You realize that doesn't mean you're funny, right?
You're right. It is easy to ignore constructive criticism and not make any effort in trying to improve and get good at something.
I believe that by working hard you can achieve a lot of things, but being funny is something that comes naturally. You either have it or you don't. Good luck on your future video endeavors.

I want to use it in my deck with Survival of the Fittest and Life from Loam so I can constantly discard my general

I don't think there's really a way to 'break' Karlov, as he can't really do much to disrupt non-creature based strategies.

Why? Do you think that people descended from Aztecs today still practice ritualistic human sacrifice or are you just making a cringey joke?
You realize that doesn't mean you're funny, right?
