Ok now I'm thinking Rakshasa Gravecaller over Whisperwood Elemental just because like every single time whisperwood gets hit immediately by a removal spell before it can do anything and not having double green is really nice.

Why do you feel that you need to "Go big" so to speak? The engine works really well without the big bomby things. Just play another Lilliana/Haruspex/etc

I have some reservations about Outpost Siege with it being so high on the curve, but I'll ask: what do you expect it to be valuable against?

I play one in my mainboard and it wins more games than you can imagine. You play out your normal game.. If the board stabalises you drop it and draw an extra card a turn and bury them in advantage. It is fantastic against any midrange deck, and if you can get it to stick against control you win the game. Ive even used it to "block" Anafenza as if they attacked it would kill them. I think its a threat that opponents dont realise they need to answer, and that mistake kills them.

I'd like to ask for advice on the mana base, though. To hit the color balance I wanted, I ended up running the four Nomad Outposts, but they nearly killed me in the final round. How would others approach the problem of trying to hit Mardu Charm and Butcher on curve while trying to reduce the tapland count?

You are running Murderous Cut so why not run off colour fetches? Thins your deck/adds to your yard. Wooded Foothills Windswept Heath Etc (except for the cost of course... =S )

What would you say to running Abzan Ascendancy in the board against a heavy Dragons Meta?

I tried both Abzan Ascendancy and Mardu Ascendancy in some of my testing and I ultimately cut both cards. It always felt too slow and wasn't really advancing my board state or my game plan. I wanted to be playing cards like Liliana, Heretical healer Catacomb Sifter or any of my 3 mana removal instead. However if your playing some kind of Rally the Ancestors version of the deck I think it's a fine card. To answer your question more specifically about dragons in your meta, I think I'd try adding some more removal that can deal with those threats. I've yet to come across a Dragon deck that was running more than 6-7 dragons total.

    Thanks for the comment!
Guess its time to play some magic! =D

Yes, I have named Dragons when casting Outpost Siege usually its against some kind of creature deck when the board is flooded with creatures, it acts kinda like another copy of Zulaport cutthroat but better because it doesn't care about cards like anafenza, the foremost and the damage can be directed at their Face, creatures, or planeswalkers. But most often I name Khans for the card advantage it generates.

Do you cut Outpost Siege against aggro for more proactive removal? Is the extra copy for the control match-up?

Thanks for your thoughts on Atarka, I've had a bit of trouble with it! Reckon you can explain your sideboarding against the other match-ups?

What would you say to running Abzan Ascendancy in the board against a heavy Dragons Meta?

Sorry to ask so many questions, I've been following this for a while and your list is extremely similar to what i settled on, i have a few more Husks and a few less removal spells.

Gday mate, love your write up! Few questions..

Is there ever a time you use the second ability on Outpost siege? Abzan aggro maybe?

How do you fare against Atarka aggro-combo?

Is Bone Splinters really preferable over Abzan Charm?
Or are we assuming we are playing Golgari at this point?

Is the fact you can cast Bone Splinters and another creature on that turn the reason for it being better?

EunB, What would you cut for a third ELeap?

Also how important are the Catacomb Sifters?
