Yea that’s what I wasn’t sure about, but I was thinking the lower CC curve plus Lyra as lord and the anthem effect or token creator effect of Serra would have a better pay off.
I don’t have any of these cards or the money/time to get them and try it but if guy do I’d reslly love to hear how it goes!
Hey guys! In anticipation of the new Serra PW I put together this variation on SS’s, but having never really played it before idk if it would actually be any good. Would love to hear your thoughts, the app I used didn’t have Serra in it yet, so these are just some rough ideas with the idea she could maybe go in as a two of or something.
Thanks!
Thanks for the feedback! Arbor elf is still in there, elves of deep shadow is just an extra cheap Druid but was also there because I had shaman in originally. But I opted for ezuri because he offers some protection and a quicker/alternative win con. Clancaller also just seemed like added benefit as a Druid that could pump dudes and thin out the deck if needed.
Hey guys! I came up with this build off how fun and unexpected gilt-leaf archdruid can be And was wondering if anyone has done a Druid based build before? Would love to hear your thoughts!
Elf druid:
Maindeck (60)
4 Arbor Elf
4 Elves of Deep Shadow
4 Elvish Mystic
4 Heritage Druid
4 Llanowar Elves
4 Elvish Clancaller
4 Elvish Archdruid
2 Ezuri, Renegade Leader
2 Marwyn, the Nurturer
2 Beast Whisperer
3 Gilt-Leaf Archdruid
4 Lead the Stampede
19 Forest
My roommate ran a similar list before Unclaimed Territory was a thing, and had a decent success rate with it. He didn't have vial and only two CoCos. Have you tried CoCo? Definitely interested to see how this works you.
Does anyone have any luck with Myth Realized and/or Monastery Mentor? Would love to see these cool cards shine, but there always just seems to be better cards for the spots.
Right on man! I really appreciate this solid run down, and am looking forward to reading the matchup analysis, as being more present with the games I play and changing things up accordingly will be a big help in taking my game to the next level.
Thanks for the great tips for moving forward, I really appreciate it! Could you just give me a quick list of the ideal manabase with that procedure of obtaining said cards? like, do I still keep the 2 wooded foothills if I get the fourth windswept? And it looks like most people play 4 canopys?
And are there any preferred auras? Or is it all pretty much up to preferance at this point? are people using the white Cartouche?
Also, saw some people talking about running glistener? Sounds like an awesome game 2 trick! what would you take out for it? A hexproof? spiritdancer? mixture of things?
When I played before I wasn't super good, this deck is great at running itself, so I didn't really sideboard to play too intelligently, but that's kinda what I'm looking to change now.
Hey Guys! Haven't played MTG, much less modern, most of the year, and was thinking about getting back into bogles. I have some value trades and was looking to upgrade my bogles to make it a little more competative and was hoping I could get some pointers on where the best place to start would be and what is good in the current meta. Here's what I currently have built that has served me pretty well last year:
Do people not use Open the Armory at all anymore? I was thinking about starting out with Horizon Canopy and Gaddock Teeg since they seem to have dipped in price recently.
Hey guys! Not sure if this is the best thread for this, but I thought I'd start here and see what happens!
has anyone tried out a more aggro-y list like this? I saw it pop up on top8 a few times with success, and I've really enjoyed playing this deck, though i've had a make a few modifications for price, but sometimes some match ups just seem rough, thought it'd be good to get some feed back form you guys!
Welcome to the topic! You found the right place. We welcome most jeskai decks here a long as they aren't the known jeskai control or midrange decks. Basically if it's jeskai tempo/aggro/aggro-control you found the right place!
I always love seeing decks that have a slight monetary constraint because they can help a majority of the players who have a monetary constraint find a competitive fun deck to play. And it looks like you have made a great one. Seeker is not my favorite creature, and if you were going more aggressive he may be better as a Kiln Fiend.
I don't know if Path to Exile was removed for the price or if you didn't want to give the opponent the additional land. If it was the later then I would add 2-3 copies and remove one helix and one jeskai charm. Path is just too good to not play in jeskai and it answers a lot of our problems. However, you are running 4 vapor snag so if you just want to aggro out the first game I can understand not having them.
Lastly, I don't think you need the Timely Reinforcements in the sideboard. You have a lot of main deck life gain and I think those would be better off as negate to help with combo matchups or Geist of Saint Traft to help with control.
All in all you have a great semi-budget jeskai prowess deck her. Thanks for posting and we hope to hear from you in the future.
Thanks for the welcome and the feedback! So the seekers are there to counteract the damage I deal myself in the lands and phyrexian cards, and that why timely reinforcements is in the SB as well, help me recover from myself and/or the other more aggressive decks. But I have been considering some kind of counter in there as well, and it's not even a fully fleshed out SB, so there is lots of room to tweak. Also, the lack of path is just me following a net deck list for the first round of getting to know the deck. I haven't found myself really needing it though, at least not in a situation where some form of burn would also work, which can go to the face and not ramp them
You are basically playing my Jeskai deck, aka "Chandra's Rifles." If you can afford or borrow them, I would suggest running 3-4 Snapcaster Mage. Being able to flash your spells back is just pure value. Also, I prefer Boros Charm over Mutagenic Growth, as it has the versitility of being both a protection spell, burn, and a pump all in one card! Finally,I run Chandra, Torch of Defiance and Elspeth, Knight-Errant at my top end for the grindier matchups.
What matchups do you find you struggle with? It'll be easier to help you if I know where you're struggling.

Thanks for the deck reference and thoughts! The original deck ran snaps, but I can't afford them and put the seekers in their place, and ran boros charm in place of jeskai charm, but with all the life loss I do to myself I figured the life link in both those cards would be beneficial, though I kinda like your spell list and have definitely considered forked bolt.
my biggest problems seem to be the really aggressive decks, like infect is never a fun match up. And I played an elves deck where I just couldn't get enough ground, maybe would've been different if I had drawn into pyros. Thinking about running more in my SB, and/or main boarding them since they wipe out like, any early game threat and all my creatures live through it.
I don’t have any of these cards or the money/time to get them and try it but if guy do I’d reslly love to hear how it goes!
Thanks!

Are you referring that Druid list I put together? I’d love to hear how it goes, I don’t have all the cards for it yet so this is all just theory

Anyone think that might be even a slight possibility?
