Thanks, SimicN! You Akroma is just beautiful. Your work on the details is awesome (EDIT: Do u use anything else other than acrylics? I would even say that piece could be done with watercolor, pretty nice).
Feb 23, 2017Some alters I made lately:Posted in: Artwork
Gilder Bairn Custom Art:
LOR Island Extension:
7th ed. Forest customization "Spring":
Jan 21, 2017Indighost and Netn (since with other "victory" cards you should accomplish certain game conditions, I belive that this one is too pushed with such thoughness and the lack of such conditions)Posted in: Monthly Contests Archive
Entropic Rod 3
Entropic Rod's activated abilities cost 1 less to activate for each card exiled with it.
7, T: Exile target nonland permanent.
@Rudyard: It's a top-down design. In many scenarios (a lot actually) it's a dead card. At the moment you're able to get something extra from the card (the cantrip), you'll be losing life in a situation in wich you were already losing by table position, wich isn't exactly good (that's why the cantrip is optional). The best the card works, the best your opponent's board position is.
Jan 19, 2017Votes go to Indighost & TheRealStinkyJoeTerry (right wording would be: "NAME gets +1+1 for each +1/+1 counter on it."Posted in: Monthly Contests Archive
Stifling Crowd 1B
Target creature gets -X/-X until end of turn, where X is the number of other creatures its owner controls. If that creature dies this way, you may draw a card and lose X life.
An ardent crowd may be as lethal for some as fruitful for others.
Jan 18, 2017Posted in: Custom Card Contests and GamesQuote from Legend »What Rudyard said. Also, the population/participation fluxuates. We seem to be at a record low. It's Emrakul's fault. But now that it's banned, we should see more activity.
Yes, that and the fact that I'm back should be enough to attract the crowd back. (?)

Æther Pull 2UR
Remove all counters from all permanents, then Æther Pull deals damage to each player equal to the number of counters removed this way from permanents he or she controls.
Draw a card.
Interdependence, like a beaded necklace, can be broken by a simple pull.
Jan 17, 2017Votes goes to Stoner and Myself. Just joking! Myself and Myself. Ok, ok... Stoner and Indighost.Posted in: Monthly Contests Archive
Bleeding Pot 0
Bleeding Pot's activated abilities cost 1 less to activate for each blood counter on it.
5, T, Pay 1 life: Draw a card, then put a blood counter on Bleeding Pot.
Jan 16, 2017Votes go to Netn10 and Indighost (what the heck happened in this game? When I used to take part, there was around 20 ppl playing every day!).Posted in: Monthly Contests Archive
Goblin Zapper RR
Creature - Goblin Wizard R
Whenever you cast a red spell, Goblin Zapper deals 1 damage to target creature or player. If this isn't the first time this ability triggers, target is chosen by an opponent of your choice instead.

If you like his style, you're supposed to understand those unreal details are part of it (perhaps you could revisite his old portfolio).Quote from bobdirt »Very nice style Bristol. I would work on fundamentals, some of the proportions on the characters are a little wonky.
I would like to contribute with a suggestion for your work too: I would try to work text boxes in a more polite way. Such things usually feel horribly distracting from the rest of the piece.
@Bristol: Nice to see you're back! I'm back too, and I'm trying to get used into my brushes again.
Dec 9, 2016Posted in: ArtworkQuote from kiljo »Quote from BlackBull »I always wanted to make a sun bleached playset of Krosan Grip (bleaching the disintegration side), but wasn't able to find the cards (neither the climate helps around here). If I get to do it, I'll share (it would be cool if somebody else that's interested on this idea does it and shares too). I bet it would look really cool!
I have no good windows in my apartment and didn't want to put them in my car... Anyway, I tried it out. Left them up for a year (366 days actually). Angel's Grace is a weird one cause the only thing that faded was the rarity symbol (looks like an uncommon now).
There were some people asking about how to do it, as I said in my first post I am no expert but this may be helpful. Figure out where you are going to put them first off. I would suggest an east/west facing window (never tried putting them outside, I get way too much rain/dew/moisture). Put the card in a toploader and tape the top shut so that no moisture can get in. If you are putting it in a window with metallic (or reflective blinds) then put it in an opaque sleeve so that the back does not get faded. Have patience, for me it takes about 8 months (longer in this new apartment) and obviously the longer you leave it up the more faded it can get.
Great to see someone did what I wanted to do (and never did). It looks great and, as MazeTemporal pointed out, I bet that the contrast in both sides would have increased by extending the exposure. Great job, dude! (I'll use that image for an article I'm writting for a friend's page -and u'll be credited, of course-)
Feb 5, 2015Hello, folksPosted in: Artwork
Does any of you recognize the original artist of the counterfeits that are being sold here? ---> https://www.facebook.com/BrumAyD/photos/ms.c.eJw9yskJADAMA7CNSi4be~;~;F~_gjtUyC1EC6UUM05WtNIR~;m5mQL9PftxAZ7DDPU~-.bps.a.752371014799522.1073741853.612475022122456/838509252852364/?type=1
The guy who's printing them and selling them is here in Argentina. I've comfronted him many times publicly and in private, and he does not seem to care about IP or the fact that he's doing something illegal against artists and WotC. He also sells an entire cube made of counterfeits, wich is entirely made with art pieces took from here, among other places. I think it is important to reunite the affected artists to put pressure on this person to stop doing what he's doing. I've tried for a long time without any luck.
