I'm really liking these Blind Box vinyl ponies that Target sells. Bought two more, one for me and one for my daughter. I got Derpy, and she got Fluttershy. They're really well made and actually look like the characters.
I actually ordered a case from my LGS, and picked it up in time to use the figures as tokens at the pre-release events I attended. They look awesome (the colours really do pop against the black base), I'm impressed with the quality.
Nothing like beating down with 3/3 green centaurs using Lyra, Bonbon, and Dashie!
"I wish I could let you pass to gather help. I really do. Unfortunately, the Ageos League joint comissioners are the worst sticklers on the island. They wouldn't let anyone pass, short of a meteor threatening to annihilate the entire island or something stupid like that." As far as the Gym Leader being able to contact them, Alexander replied, "I'll try, but I don't expect to get anywhere."
If you head out:
After hopping on Gyarados and telling him to floor it northwest, he managed to swim all the way to Twilight City's docks. There, Nicolette found a Super Potion behind an otherwise empty storage unit. Looks like it fell out of a shipment.
Arriving on the island, Nicolette pockets the super potion and starts to look around. Not wanting to raise any immediate suspicions, she returns Gyarados to its pokeball. Hmm, surprised he wasn't a lot more vicious . . . she thought as she began to scour the beachfront.

Alexander knew exactly what she wanted from the beginning. "You're not the frst person that's asked about it. Unfortunately, the way the Ageos League is set up, it is very difficult to leave the Gym for an extended period of time." He paused. "They're north of Twilight City, but there's another problem. No one can set foot on the Trinity Islands without at least eight Badges. Many trainers have more, as having more than eight Badges can get you byes in the Main Event. I'll make sure to pass on your message to anyone coming here who's qualified for the League though.
Nicolette made a noise of frustration, which actually came out sounding more cute than she intended. "Of course it is," she said to herself. Back to Alexander, she continued. "I'm still going to try, unless you have a way to contact them directly. Otherwise I'm going to Twilight and then to Trinity. They're going to have to stop me themselves."
You sell your relic and then go to talk to Gym Leader Alexander. You find him in his Gilded-age gym training his Pokemon.
What do you say to him?
Nicolette tracked down Alexander, and explained to him what she was attempting. It wasn't going to be an easy task, but the more Gym Leaders who knew what was going on, the more it might help her case when she got to Trinity Isles.
She'll also ask about the fastest way to actually GET to Trinity Isles, since she has no idea where she's going at this point.
Nicolette and Emberlace finally arrived at Crimson City, the fire-type finding a Lum Berry along the way. Given the Serpent raids, the city wasn't in too bad of a shape.
Nicolette scoops up the berry and puts it in her satchel without really thinking about it. What IS on her mind, however, is how she'll get to Twilight City and on to the Trinity Isles. There appeared to be storms in the distance, as she considered using Gyarados again. There was also a sign for the ferry service nearby, swaying in the breeze coming off the water.
The first thing she really needed to do was lighten her bag. Nicolette checked for a reputable place to sell the copper relic, before heading to the Gym for a moment to talk to the leader about her intent.
Sofia tells you that most of the Gym Leaders will take a lot of convincing to band together. For one thing the higher level Pokemon that many of them posses are actually the property of the Ageosian Pokemon League not their own. That means that those Pokemon aren't allowed to leave their respective gyms. Additionally, most Gym Leaders are very dedicated to their communities and don't like leaving them in the relatively under-skilled hands of their trainers.
The only way you're going to get the Gym Leaders together is to talk to the leadership of the Ageosian Pokemon League in Trinity City.
How do you reply?
That was all Nicolette needed to hear. "Then with your support in the matter, that's exactly where I'm going to go." Nicolette gave her friend a big hug, and said her good-byes. "Wish me luck. I think mine was all used up again when a bunch of us escaped the desert temple. We would have been obliterated if it wasn't for some big, lightning-cat . . . . thing . . . . that showed up and told us to scoot."
Nicolette and Emberlace begin heading (southwest-ish?) down the route to Route 8 toward Crimson City.
There is no more assistance need for the moment, so you head to the gym to talk to Sofia. You find her tending to some broken branches in the Magnolia Grove of the gym.
What do you talk about?
Nicolette starts to help Sofia with cleaning up the gym, as well. They chat about everything that's happened since Nicolette left the first time.
When it comes to the serpents, Nicolette will go into more detail about all that transpired in the mountain and the desert. It's pretty clear that they are forces to be reckoned with, and stopping them will require a massive effort. She'll field the idea that if Sofia and the Gym Leaders were to join with everyone else working on the problem, the serpents might be halted or contained.
You continue the clean up effort and you continue to find odd things amidst the debries. This time it's a Premier Ball...
Could it have been a trainer's? What happened to its owner?
What do you do?
Nicolette pockets the Premier Ball without thinking too deeply about it, and continues her assistance . . . (OOC: unless there's no more assistance to do, then she'll wander back to the Gym to catch up with Sofia in a less hurried fashion) [dice]100[/dice]
None of the serpents appeared to be in sight as Emberlace dragged Nicolette toward a large pile of rubble, human screams coming from it. After a couple hours of searching, the team the two worked with found three survivors, their faces covered red with injuries from nearly being buried alive. All three were safely removed from the rubble and given immediate first aid.
While Emberlace helped with the rescue operation, she found a White Apricorn.
Nicolette saw the apricorn at Emberlace's feet. "How'd that get over . . . ? Nevermind." She said to herself, as she picked up the item and stuffed it in her ever-expanding satchel. The pair continued to work away with the clean-up effort, alongside Sofia.

Sofia had a difficult time believing Nicolette's story at first, but everything agreed with the evidence the police had. She thanked Nicolette for her help. "If you run out of medical supplies, we've recovered a cache from a wrecked storehouse. Use them to aid the injured."
While frantically searching for injured, Nicolette found another Potion near a pile of rubble, its casing dented in several places from being pushed out of the way of collapsing debris.
Nicolette pocketed the Potion, and continued to search and assist with EMberlace by her side. She also kept a wary eye for signs of one of the serpents closing in on their area again.

Anyhow, my vote goes to Chandra's Phoenix this time.
