Hmm...thats a very good point Cyan. With one scum down already, will another be so willing to bus a buddy?
That is a disturbing thought...
Not really. DM seems to be a pretty hopeless cause at this point. If they are both scum, BT might just want to get the day over with before any more damage is dealt.
Well, you could just stick in a "as determined by the moderator" in there. Assuming he's impartial, it should simplify things without exploding the rule.
Based on the way this game is going, I'm not sure how easy that will be to determine. I don't want a thread being closed when I still have a chance to change the outcome by moving onto a bonus vote cell on the board, and spending some mana to buy another extra vote, while using my special Night-voting ability, or whatever else may end up being possible.
Getting a good wording for condition #3 (Autoed) is going to be difficult. What if casting multiple votes is possible? What if the proposal requires either a simple or a 2/3 majority? Is it the mod's job to figure out which possible sets of circumstances make passing or failing impossible? What if the mod prematurely closes a thread when it is still actually possible for the outcome to change?
The voting period of a proposal ends when one of the following conditions is met:
1 - The proposer votes against his proposal. If the voting period ends this way, it is called "self-killed".
2 - 96 hours pass after the voting period began. If the voting period ends this way, it is called "deadlined".
3 - The mod closes the thread because even if all non-voting players voted on the proposal, it couldn't change the outcome of the proposal. If the voting period ends this way, it is called "autoed".
That looks good. I'll tweak it so it works under the rules and doesn't have the dangerous loophole in it.
My requests:
Change 307.5 to specify that players can only give mana from their own mana holdings.
Remove 307.7; I'd rather vote on that seperately later.
Sorry I haven't posted yet today, I'm sick and haven't quite been up to making a constructive post (I got some rereading done though).
Anyway, I don't really see a case at all on ged, and his misreading of iLord's claim reads completely genuinely to me.
I also support the DM claim whenever he gets a chance to make one up.
I'm not sure about BT yet, but he hasn't looked good.
And I'm still highly suspicious of Tanarin. Maybe we can look into him more on a day when the scum don't run up and wrap the noose around their neck in the first few hours.
I think Wesso's at Claim range. I don't think that it's necessary to warn you guys, but no one should vote until we've discussed this. Should Wesso claim now?
Wesso should feel free to claim. If he isn't quite at claim range, I'll gladly throw my vote on now.
Huaojozu: I understand your concern, and I would rather not have the discussion thread become the main place for posting proposal ideas, becuase that is a bit messy and disorganized. My next proposal will be to create a less dangerous and abusable type of debate period (basically the part of this proposal that was removed, but with less rules issues). Hopefully, someone else will shorten the voting period before then.

I think self-kills are a terrible idea. But I'm going to add them for you.
You really think so? I wouldn't have thought of that... oh, except that I did think of that, but you already voted down that proposal.
Really?
Sure, the claim isn't as bad as CDM's, but still...
I don't buy his claim, I'm ready to lynch whenever now.

I'd be willing to push you to claim now, but I'll wait to see the case you're presenting.
