it's going decently because I'm reasonably sure that the placements in the "might be town" section of that post are likely. That's all it's supposed to do.
And if they're all scum? You shouldn't have any way of knowing how good your reads are right now
And you think it's going well? We have 0 flips to give you any idea of how accurate your reads are, you're about to be lynched D1, and it's working decently??
I'm basing my new play on Voxx. That's where I'm getting most of my "improvements" are coming from. Mostly tips from him.
That's how he solves games. Trying to identify scum isn't yielding much fruit, I'm not that confident in those reads. The other way though, being decently sure that most of the others aren't scum makes anything less than a town read more likely.
Yes, I'm well aware that's how you generally approach the game as town, but you just weren't doing that here until it was pointed out that you weren't and should be
If everyone took that approach to the game, wouldn't that be problematic?
If everyone took that approach to everyone, yes, that's ridiculous
I'm obviously not advocating that. I'm saying I'm not going to waste my time engaging KJ in ways that are both unnecessary and not helpful to me in reading him
No, you seemingly aren't trying to change it. But what you seem to be doing is pushing away from KJ, but leaving yourself room to jump on.
I am absolutely not pushing away from KJ. I think he's under the perfect amount of pressure atm. But if I add my vote to him, that's a death sentence, and I'm so not there
That's the entire point of the game. Very rarely short of a red check is there some objective wolfy thing someone does. Even from your perspective, could a reasonable town explaination for Zionite is taking him at his word that he had no motivation due to the ***** posting/lack of game play. I have the same early game awkwardness.
Oh, is that the point of the game? Thank you so much, I've been wondering that for years.
Here, I'll make this simpler: I think there's more reasonable town explanations for kjs play than for zions so far. Hence my vote being where it is
I clearly am since I brought this up, but the issue is twofold: 1). Zionite wagon stalled at 4 votes, and people are looking for another wagon. KJ sprung up as one of those potential wagons, and I don't see an active push from you to either solve KJ or try to get people to stick to the Zionite wagon. The interest is clearly not there unless concessions are made. KJ seems like a wagon per earlier comments you might have had an interest in, and you seemed hedgey, when this feels like it's a wet dream scenario for you. I wish every game I played in had two of my wolf reads as competing wagons.
I don't need to actively solve kj, he'll solve himself for me. And yes, I'm very happy with where the gamestate is, do I look like I'm trying to change it?
And the funny part is that I could dismiss the entire above if you had ended that post with "KJ might be a wolf, but I feel more suspicious of Zionite still", but you didn't.
This is pretty obviously where I am if you're reading my posts. Maybe closer to: KJ might be a wolf, but I could still see him as town, and am far more confident on Zion
He feels a lot like me in Modern when I caught Az page1 and held it. Right up to getting impatient and dumping the read as soon as you picked up a couple votes
Well, let me know when you're done
KJ claiming RB isn't a good reason to lunch him, except his approach to the day makes no sense as a power role Oh, is that a thing we should do? You said it was working well, which you really shouldn't know. That's like a D3-4 self assessment.
Also, on the off chance you're town, whatever you are doing this game is actually not working decently, do not do it again
And if they're all scum? You shouldn't have any way of knowing how good your reads are right now
Nooo... I'm saying that if you are town and just trying something new, how could you possibly think what you are doing is working?
And you think it's going well? We have 0 flips to give you any idea of how accurate your reads are, you're about to be lynched D1, and it's working decently??
Yeah, okay
Are you saying you're trying something else new in this game specifically?
Yes, I'm well aware that's how you generally approach the game as town, but you just weren't doing that here until it was pointed out that you weren't and should be
But if you're a RBer, you should have some incentive to find good targets
In the meantime, KJ, being a town power role, but not wanting to lynch the claimed vanilla alternative is not lining up
And he's still not scum hunting, which makes even less sense as a RB, who should have extra incentive to actively find scum
I'm not ready for last to speed lynch, but I'm comfortable moving my vote there
Not a chance
If everyone took that approach to everyone, yes, that's ridiculous
I'm obviously not advocating that. I'm saying I'm not going to waste my time engaging KJ in ways that are both unnecessary and not helpful to me in reading him

I liked your approach to weighing Tom, but I'm not super interested in trying to solve either of you right now, so

I'm waiting until I see something that gives me a stronger read one way or the other, I'm still going over his read list atm
Same place I was 2 days ago. Also not thrilled that he's disappeared while KJ has gained attention
