It'll give me something new to play with, hopefully let me play a new style, and be competitive at least until the new set. I'm just sitting at a point where I don't know where I want to take my play style, and playing a tier one deck in a different style can help me with that I think.

That is a good looking deck. I'll have to see what I have for it and then get the rest.

I do plan to netdeck in a few weeks, I'm saving my money so I can buy one of the top decks from Pro Tour.

Alright, a beer thread. Something I can really sink my teeth into.

Lately I've been getting away from stouts and getting back into IPAs. A local brewery, Revolver, makes a fantastic Imperial IPA. Haven't been having much to drink the past month or so though since my beer budget is saving up for when Avery's Rumpkin comes in finally. Already got my case of Whole Hog Pumpkin Ale from Steven's Point for the year. Pumpkin beer gets a lot of hate but man do I love a good one.

Could one of you northern guys explain the hype behind Yuengling? Had one this summer while I was visiting family in PA and honestly it wasn't any better than Coors.

I'm not afraid, I'm prepared. There's a vast difference. Bottom line is there's a lot of *****ty people out there, and I'd rather be in a position to protect myself if need be, than rely on cops that have a horrid response time.

Unfortunately the LGS I frequent only does Draft on the last Friday of the month, and the only sealed events they have are the prereleases.

I'm kinda wanting to dip my toe into control, since you don't see a lot of that in my Meta, mostly Abzan. It's just rather expensive to get into, especially since so many of them run a playset of Jace. My prerelease deck was U/G and worked rather well so I want to expand on that a bit.

Having only been back in the game about 6 months, with this rotation I find myself having a bit of a mid life crisis. Since I got back in the game I've been running mono-red aggro. I'm not a good deck builder so I find this the easiest type to build and use, along with the cheapest. With the rotation, mono-red is not as viable as it used to be since it's losing quite a bit of the removal. Along with that I find myself wanting to do something different. Still aggro to a point but something new, at least until the pro tour hits then I plan to build one of the top decks. I suppose I just feel lost to a point. I got a taste of playing blue at the prerelease and liked it, but a control deck that will be competitive will also be pricy and I don't exactly have a ton of cash. Anyone else ever had that kind of lost, midlife crisis feeling when you're not sure where you want to take your playing next?

As an old player, and a time travel fan :p I would like to see Time Spiral Block again...

Took the words right out of my mouth. The 3 sets I'd love to revisit would be Kamigawa (that's when I got my start, still have an intact spiritbane theme deck), Time Spiral, and Llorwyn/Shadowmoor.

lots of countries to fine with harsh restrictions on guns which shows that it works

Well see that's just incorrect. When the UK started their gun ban their crime rate actually went up. The top 3 cities in the US for gun violence? Chicago, New York, and Washington DC. The 3 cities in the US with the strictest gun control? Chicago, New York, and Washington DC.

What do all these mass shootings have in common? They were all in "gun free" zones. The shooter knew there would be no resistance. When was the last time you heard about a mass shooting in a place where a potential CHL holder could be? Or one where a CHL holder stopped the shooting? You won't see that on the lamestream media, that's for sure. Doesn't play into their liberal agenda so feel good stories of "CHL Holder Stops Mass Shooting" don't see air time.

The bottom line is, if someone really wants to kill you, they're going to find a way to do it, whether that be with a gun, a knife, or their hands. I'll freely admit I am not in the physical condition to fight off an assailant, nor am I particularly skilled with a knife. That's why I carry.

Hi guys! I'm Tyler, from the Dallas area in Texas. I played from about Kamigawa until Shards of Alara, then took a few years off. A coworker got me back into the scene back at the end of April and the rest is history. My current play style is heavily aggro, and I use a mono-red deck capable of a T3 win. With the rotation incoming though, I'm deciding how to make this one survive rotation, whether to splash black into my Goblin deck, and whether to build off my BFZ prerelease U/G until we get the pro tour top deck list.

I do a little modern and Commander sometimes but not competitively. My modern deck is Llorwyn/Shadowmoor G/W elves, and my Commander deck is R/W with Anaz and Cymede as the commander.
