Quote from NGW »I hope you regularly donate and send aid to those in need in third world countries or have never in your life complained about any hardship because others have it so much worse than you all around the world you disgusting hypocrite.
Wow chill out kiddo. Complaining about foil lands is the definition of a first world problem. How I deal with the rest of the world has nothing to do with the matter. You're fussing about shiny cardboard. Get over yourself.

I think the over 300 players in the GP London Pauper Side event would beg to differ. http://epicstream.com/news/302-MTG-Players-of-The-Grand-Prix-London-Pauper-Event-Just-Gave-A-Round-of-Applause-To-The-Professor

The reserved list was first created in 1996. There are a lot of players, probably a majority if we're being honest as I don't know the exact statistics, that weren't even born yet when that happened. Really hard to buy something when you don't exist. The reserved list should never have been put in place to begin with, and its repeal is long overdue.

Also glad I'm not the only one running snow basics. I just picked up some Japanese P3K lands and was going to use those but then found out I didn't have any plains so I stuck with my snows.

Round 1 against Kiki chord:
Game 1 he won I kept a fast hand but he had natural combo. Games 2 and 3 he got mana screwed and I luckily had a path for his turn 2 spellskite in game 2.
Round 2 against zombie hunt was basically a bye. He had a neat sideboard plan where he sideboard dex out the infestations into a tron plan but I steamrolled him.
Round 3 was an ID, my opponent was on affinity. I took game 1 and game 2 easily thanks to removal and double spirit link both games.

Because playing paper magic, in my opinion, is far more fun and rewarding than playing online. By your logic, I should just get Xmage then I can play every deck in every format for free. Yet here I sit with 2 paper legacy decks complete because I, like many other, prefer paper magic to playing online against some faceless opponent.
As far as how to remove the reserved list, I think they announce it a year in advance, reprint everything into a masters set, but leave the power nine at a rarity in those packs similar to masterpiece level.

Round 1: Slivers 2-0. I didn't really wasn't his win. Kid was like 8 and had no idea what he was looking at with my deck. Easy 2-0. In: 1x mechanized production, 1x magus of the tabernacle. Out: 2x pithing needle
Round 2: Mono-red burn 2-0. Game 1 was close but I stabilized at 3 with an empty hand, dropped a bridge and just kept him off burn spells. Game 2 he scooped to turn 0 leyline. In: 3x leyline, 2x Padeem. Out: 3x Needle, 2x surgical
Round 3: Aetherflux Reservoir 2-0. Basically the standard deck and he upgraded the mana base. We already knew what the other was on. Turn 1 needle on reservoir then early bridge game 1 prompts the concession. Game 2 he has plenty of counters but I'm able to bait enough with meaningless things that I resolve leyline and bridge. He scoops quickly when my top card shows Production. In: 3x leyline, 1x mechanized production, 1x Gaddock teeg. Out: 3x surgical, 1x aether grid, 1x collective brutality.
Round 4: Goblins 2-1. Kept a super bad 7 game 1, and paid for it. Game 2 was close but turn 0 leyline was a huge help. Got caught with a leyline in hand one turn and took massive damage but miracles the Glimmervoid the next turn to slam it and get my hand empty again. Game 3 showed turn 0 leyline again, turn 2 bridge, and a mox Opal on board so I didn't care about his blood moon. Scooped in response to surgical on Smash to Smithereens. In: 3x leyline, 1x magus of the tabernacle, 1x Golgari charm. Out: 3x needle, 2x surgical,
All in all a good night. My second FNM win with lantern and my pack pulls were above average.
