Can we just get clear on one point? You want to discuss this situation, but during that discussion, we shouldn't reference the frontpage article on this site which is about this situation? I mean, I totally get that... it's conceivable that we could be urged to ignore that article, it's just a little confusing.

in fact if you forget your receipt they will give you store credit.
if you get the bozo in the front giving you a hard time, ask to see a manager.
My super tech secret is ask for the persons name and employee number.
then with your phone (or better yet ask to use their computer!) Look up the corporate website.
while still standing at the counter tell the customer service rep on the phone how much you love their product and have been shopping there for years, and that you tell all of your friends how great the prices and service is, and that so-and-so, employee i d at your location is refusing to make an exchange, or offer store credit for a defective product.
somtimes letting them know the price, being sooo abysmal, or even huge, will show how important or unimportant that this guy at Walmart is wasting your time.
If you are lucky, that guy might even get fire!
No need to ever raise your.voice
Put your big boy pants on and get it done.

Just wanted to clear this up as ABSOLUTELY FALSE! If you do not know anything about printing or project management, PLEASE DO NOT COMMENT and confuse the rest on these forums. Allow me to educate you.
Magic is an Offset Litho Project. These are done on Sheetfed Machines. Sheetfed machines range from 10kto 30k impressions an hour (currently- and thsi includes loading more paper into the feeder), Depending on the quality, many people will run between 6k to 20k impressions, Really depends on the operators and capabilities of the machine and your quality.
A magic set can easily be fully printed 2 months before release, and distributed worldwide in that time, if need be. Even less if the set is regional and it is done from multiple print locations. However it is assumed MTG is printed from very few select locations. Additionally, if Wotc wanted to spend a ton of money, it could probably be fully printed and assembled and at the distributor nearly a week in advance, although having the distributor get the product out on time would be very tight.
The project is probably finalized, for the most part, is set up so that these additional parts are assembled and created and ready to be packed with the main product at another location at this 2 month before release mark. While the project may be in the works almost a year in advance, the printing and assembly won't even be considered until a month or more before release. You also need to consider the other jobs these print facilities run for their other customers.
To give you an idea, 1 million sheets of 28x40 sheets (although you can go much larger than that (such as 170inches) 2 sided (and we don't know if they just run 1 side and then apply the backing, or print the backing and front as one piece (2 side)) on an older press running about 10k impressions with 3 shifts on ONE machine would take roughly take just over 4 days, or better off with one business week to incorporate breaks, shift change, and or any maintenance issue.
Most plants have more than 1 machine...
Keep in mind a well set up plant is going to be cutting and packaging these pieces, or getting them assembled to go off to their packing facility elsewhere if need be.
I'm fully confident that the January set will be fully printed and boxed by the beginning of December, or late November.
Again, if you do not know about the process even the slightest, please do not comment and confuse the rest.

Hasbro paid people to think up the thought behind the cards. The cards value is based on the synergy it has with the game, which has been developed by someone else (Hasbro/Wizards/Garfield), which is why people are willing to pay such a high price for cards in the first place.
On a side notw: Is anyone against using "proxy" cards made on the original, for personal use? I've made some very slick original looking cards, but glossed them to differentiate them.

These are my observations:
Lotleth: Very powerful card. Regenerate AND Trample are huge. His ability to discard a creature card for a +1/+1 counter AT WILL give him that psychatogish feel. I used him in reanimator style deck and loved his abusivness. My buddy used him in a more agro Black intensive deck with a splash of Green, using cards like Bloodghast and Gravecrawler straight to the GY.
Additionally, I can only imagine the horror this guy is going to bring with cards that bring enmasse creatures from the GY to play and discarding a couple of fatties to this guy in response.
If you are playing cards with the scavenge mechanic, I am only assuming that this can get a bit more out of hand. I like him more than Putrid Leech, but will run both.
Vraska the Unseen: Only saw her thrice, but we never once got her ultimate out. I think the ultimate is going to really shine in multiplayer the most. Her first ability was good against aggressive/burn decks forcing them to ignore her, or waste their damage removal on her, which I'd prefer than on my creatures.
Verdict is that she cannot be ignored, and should be dealt with as soon as possible. Depending on board state, it seems better to fog first turn and second. Even if opponent is ahead or you have very little board presence, they may likely ignore the first 2 turns of "fogging". Even sending 5to6 power via creatures (not including burn or pings) and having them unable to deal that 5 damage the next few turns should sway them from attacking her. Usually a 2for 1 if just fogging with little or no protection, but always a 1for1, (best permanent that isn't land)plus a target to be attacked and not you , (that is if she is not protected!).
Abrupt Decay:I realize lot of tighter lists for multicolors out there than mine. I found this card pretty useful, especially since there are so many artifacts and enchantments and little guys out there this thing can kill. The uncounterable part hasnt been of much relevance except vs blue control.
However, the frustrating part is a lot of the cool pieces cant be targeted, i.e. Opposition or Control Magic. If I'm not versus blue, or not worried about counter spells, I've been happier with Deed, Pulse, and Putrefy all the way. In fact those cards can really deal with quite a bit.
I've been most excited to have this card in my opening hand or turn 2/3 draws against agro or faster decks. However I've found this sitting in my hand against midrange-control decks, waiting to kill something like little artifacts or fixers.
SIDENOTE:
Can this be returned to your hand if Venser, Shaper Savanted, with no effect to board?
Another thought is being Willbendered!

One of my favorite Black Red cards. Can completely decimate an opponents board, and at instant speed!
A House with Stuffy Doll
Great in a lifegain theme, say with green or white, or what is available in black itself.
Drawbacks is the life loss in addition to the three mana.
NOTE: How do I put the image of the cards in like the other threads? Could a mod or other users help out? Thanks!
