Heck a single Gideon's Sacrifice and a indestructible creature completely invalidates this whole system.

This also really makes control decks and turbo fog decks ridiculously over powered, using mass removal, giving a creature indestrucable or Protection often used in these types oc decks are trump or recycling fog effects to basically turn off your attacking removal effects. In fact nearly 90% of White, Blue and Greens color pie either breaks or becomes completely game dominating

Cards like Moat, camouflage, reverance, brainwash, false orders, raging river basically anything that alters combat in any way harm this system. heck even just protection mskes this system a mess. Basically mother of runes is the best creature for combat ever. There would need to be a banning of thousands of cards due to the unintended consequences of this system.

I have in the past for Pack Rat made a bunch of obvious photo copies and then put them in other color sleves like proxies.

posted a message on Ravnica Allegiance Mechanics ( Spectacle, Afterlife, Adapt, Riot, Addendum)
    Addendum spells should be like:
    Azorius counter 1WU instsnt
Counter target spell with casting cost 3 or less
Addendum-if you cast this spell during your mainphase instead tap up to 3 creatures they do not untap during their controllers next untap phase.

This would mean the spell is effectively modal. But we have only seen riders (to borrow a political term) instead. This will be a hard ability to make successful, if the base spell us too good then it will be used as an instant, if the addendum rider/replacement is too good it will regale the spell to sorcery. There needs to be a really strong tension between wanting either the spell at instant speed or the addendum?

With Rackdos and Gruul being thy he red decks where the red ability "plays" well with each other. Rosewater described Gruul as a ramping guild recently while describing Rakdos as midrange. Based on this I think spectacle might be either a spliced sabatour(instead of target creature dealing damage or when target creature deals damage pay spectacle cost) or will require a creature to die (either your or your opponants creature dies and then you can spectacle)

Actually I wouldn't break the reserved list. I like other investors with deep pockets and the firms of investors that purchase collectables would enact a class action lawsuit against Wizards of the Coast and Hasbro to prevent this action, under promissory estoppel. Even if we happened to lose, which is not entirely likely, the cost to wizards and Hasbro would be devastating. There are people who would raise the price of necessary drugs by 5000% do you think those people would care about destroying a game millions enjoy just to make a few bucks?

I believe Bolas needs the gods to die to unravel part of the plane for either a source of power or as a was to move his new army off this plane. They write when Rhoas dies "He felt the poison gnaw at his heart and fray the knot of leylines and magic and physical strength that resided in his core. Yet as the poison destroyed the links anchoring him to the world, it also unbound the magical threads placed there by another force." -Hour of Glory

posted a message on Magic Story Discussion: Magic Origins and Battle for Zendikar Block
Well the purpose of the Eldrazi is still unknown, and my never be fully revealed. But if the events from the Homelands story line are still cannon then there may be some explanation for their purpose. When Grandmother Sengir rings the Apocalypse Chime all the mana was severed from Ulgrotha, which leads me to believe that mana is not actually native to each plane but flows in and out of the planes. If mana in its natural state is colorless, then when it enters a plane it would break apart like light through a prism, then collect in areas, which may be the "broken" that the Eldrazi were feeling. It also could mean using something like the Apocalypse chime could protect a plane from the Eldrazi.

Also when they felt they were in the wrong place, it could be that the Eldrazi are suppose to be fixing the multiverse in a specific order and when the original three led them to Zendikar they through off the order. We know that both artificial planes as well as natural planes eventually cease to exist this may be due to mana needing to return to its colorless state as a form of entropy. This is all speculation of course.
