CR's quoted in the thread are 702.19b, 702.2b, and all of 510 for the combat damage steps.
The rule you're looking for is 704.5h: ''If a creature has toughness greater than 0, and it’s been dealt damage by a source with deathtouch since the last time state-based actions were checked, that creature is destroyed. Regeneration can replace this event.''
Once Deathtouch damage has been checked (and found unable to destroy the indestructible), it won't be checked again, and the 'deathtouchness' of that damage will no more be taken into consideration. The creature is left with one 'regular' damage marked on it.
@Ray & Otto: Please take a close look at the original OP's question; it is a very basic, beginner's question.
Not only has it been correctly answered by Thought Criminal, it also is obvious that this techno-babble of yours is way beyond the OP's grasp.
Thus useless, and annoying. Please stop. Now.
No, no, don't respond, Just remain gone, please.
Between games, you may do as you wish, but those notes can't be used during future games.
Only notes taken during a game can be used during that same game.
Simply said, Dominating Licid transforms itself into a Control Magic. You therefore control both Licid (as an Aura enchanting Elite Vanguard) and Elite Vanguard itself... until you revert Licid to its creature state.
No, it can't, if the 'destroy all enchantemnts' mode is chosen, because Angelic Renewal is destroyed before the creatures. It won't be there to see the creature die.
You might try actually performing the loop a few times, until opponent (or a judge) accuses you of stalling the game.
There's no simple solution: non-deterministic infinite loops are not welcome with Magic's officials, because they are too complicated to manage in organized play.
Of course, around the kitchen table, anything goes!
No, you can't.
The shortcut you're proposing contains an unknown part, due to random order of cards in the Library. Only fully deterministic shortcuts are allowed. I know, it sucks, but that's how it is.
Well, yes and no. Be aware that The Stack NEVER resolves; it is those spells and abilities we put on the Stack that resolve, and THEY RESOLVE ONE AT A TIME, allowing players to play more stuff IN BETWEEN EACH resolution.
OK, let's let Tactics resolve first.
Then, you tap King to activate its 'fight' ability (granted by Tactics). Then, without passing Priority, you tap Kiora, targetting King. Then you pass.
Opponent may do stuff now. Let's assume they don't.
Then, when opponent passes, the first object on the Stack resolves: Kiora untaps King.
...which triggers King's Inspired abitliy, which you put on the Stack, ON TOP of the 'Fight' ability still waiting there.
Then players pass.
Then Inspired ability resolves: ennemy creature gets exiled.

Need. More. Coffee.
Because Mizzix of the Izmagnus WILL reduce your cost, overload or not.
